- Video: An afternoon spotting trains at London Liverpool Street station, the London terminus of Great Eastern and West Anglia Main Lines. This spot features action mainly on the West Anglia bound side of the station with services from Greater Anglia and London Overground, as well as some Great Eastern bound GA services as well.
Many of the trains (specifically the 315s) seen in this video are now withdrawn and scrapped, including some of the 317s, also this was filmed before the 745 Stansted Express debut, so 745103 seen at platform 4 was on test/training runs.

Greater Anglia Class 317s & Class 321s & Class 360 Desiro & Class 379 Electrostars & Class 745 FLIRT, London Overground Class 315s (incl. ex-TfL Rail 315s) & Class 710 Aventras.

London Liverpool Street will see changes including the Greater Anglia Class 745 and Class 720 and of course London Overground Class 710 and TfL Rail (Elizabeth Line) Class 345. Be good for Greater Anglia to keep the Class 379. And to use the Class 379s on the branch lines including the Crouch Valley Line.

So smooth. So clean. So fast and efficient. So long. So flash. So silent. So inhuman. So boring. Today's trains encapsulate everything i dislike about today. They are all trying to impress, stagger and look perfect. If these trains were schoolchildren, they'd all be the teacher's pet ! They forget that weaknesses and failures are positive attributes. I want trains to be bumpy, dirty, slow and inefficient. Short. Unassuming. Human. Noisy. Interesting with permission to break down and be late. I'm fed up with being domminated by time and seamlessness. And as for the creepy self-opening doors are concerned, i'm sure Marvin the Paranoid Android would agree that politeness and obsequious machine convenience are debilitating phenomena as far as humans go- real or fake ones!
