Hello from Lafayette, Louisiana! I am new to Flosstube, and returning to stitching after a long hiatus, and I’m finding all sorts of great people to follow here. I LOVE your organizational ideas in your closet, and your craft room, as well as your idea to do one project a month! Your home is lovely and cozy...looks perfect for happy stitching times. (And I love the pups and kitties, too!) Thank you for sharing your home and projects...now I look forward to catching up on more of your videos! Have a great day 🌝
Love all of your videos...can't wait for a new one. I confess that I am also a serial starter who always has a number of projects going at one time...the more the better. Thank you for sharing your wonderfully organized stash with us.
Hi Mickey, lovely to 'meet' you. I am very impressed with your organisation of supplies. It will be fun to watch you pull out your wips and get some finishes happening. What a gift to have your mothers supplies. I would hold onto them as I have found that my taste has changed and the things I got rid of 10 or 15 years ago I really wish I had of held onto. You might just feel the same way. Your finish of the pirate is super cool. Love the fabric choice. Happiest of stitching to you. By the way, we love boxer dogs. Welcome to Flosstube.
Oh, the WIPS and floss collecting and organizing! I can so relate. I never seem to do the actual stitching anymore. I tell myself I have to complete my organizing first and so it goes on and on. I love it....but nothing gets totally made. Will use your project a month plan. Thanks for the idea!

I love your closet & how everything is so organized. This is such a great Idea! I really need to do something like that for all my crafting. I am like you, I wouldn't get rid of all those patterns & magazines either, cause you never know when you might decide to do one of them.
Hey love to hear that you are close by. I am an avid stitcher that lives in Brilliant, AL. If I am not stitching then I am teaching or sleeping. I have a huge stash of threads, kits, material, and loose patterns.
I love your video! I started stitching 30 years ago when I was six, and I have many unfinished projects! I am also a serial starter lol! I finally finished one I started 15 years ago and gave it to my sister in law for Christmas.
Thanks for sharing. Very organized! Love that! I started cross-stitching when I was 14 (my maternal aunt taught me during a summer vacation when I visited her and her family down in Virginia). I'm embarrassed that I only got a few done even though I loved xstitching. Now I'm in my 40s and occasionally have some leisure time and really want to get back into it. I just subscribed. I also am a crafter but primarily work with Project Life. BTW, I read the pirate quote and I was in stitches from it ;))
LeMarais88 I'm glad you liked the video! I love to meet other stitchers! I was taught when I was about 12 and had a huge break from it until I was in my late twenties. You can always get back into it! That pirate was my husbands little "army" quote. He loves it! 😊
awakendixie we went to Patches and Stitches in Huntersville which had a lot of quilting, but also had lots of cross stitch patterns. Also, in Guntersville (30 minutes away?) there is cross stitch haven. I got a nice stand and lots of patterns and things there. I will definitely go back!
I'm sorry I haven't answered this until now! I've taken a break from TH-cam for awhile, but I'm back and making videos! No I never finished Celtic Spring much to my dismay. I need to pull it out and finish it as it was my mothers but I just haven't had the time. Have you done Celtic Spring?
This is so similar to hoarding but much more organized. People do the same thing with coloring book hobbies. They purchase large amounts of project supplies and books..patterns etc. but ,most are uncompleted and more and more are purchased. Is it good or not good ...just pretty obsessive compulsive ..I know
Yes! Luckily it's not all over my house! I haven't bought anything new in quite a while though so that's a plus. Just trying to plug away on what I have.
Do you assist as well with cross stitch question? I have a project that I am working on with linen and my pattern does not give the instructions for my unfinished and final step.
I have stitched with linen before and I treated it no different then any other fabric. I hand washed it when finished and took it to the framers. Not sure if this helps you or not but good luck with your project!!!
@@MichelleGainey it is the butternut road earthdancer cross stitch and it does not tell you how to stitch the fringe to her dress. That is what I need to know what you recommend.
I have never stitched that before but what I found is that the fringe is super suede that rainbow gallery used to sell. You can now find it on Etsy and maybe eBay. They look like just straight stitches with the suede.

Your videos came up in my search, I could fill more boxes than you have, I'm a serial starter, and Christmas Day I get to start another one 😃.
Emma Swartz Wow! I'm glad I'm not the only one! 😃
I love your video thanks for sharing
There is a great shop in Decatur. The Cross Stitch Peddler. All cross stitch!
Kay Alford Really?! I'll have to check it out!
I just heard you say it will be finished in 2007. I didn’t realized this video was this old. I got lots of good ideas.
Kay Alford If I said 2007 that was a mistake. This video isn’t that old! Lol
I would lo e to see what's in those bins :) Maybe you can go through them in a video :)
Calico that's a great idea!!
Where did you get the pink storage boxes?
I have a lot of wips too. I can't have just one.
I"m glad I'm not the only one! :)
I am close to Huntsville what are they shops you went to? ...I have not been able to find any stitching shops....Is there one you would recommend?

It took 5 seconds for me to only be here for the animals.
Can you show us all your finishes?
Apollonia Lambertus absolutely!!! That will be my next video!! 😃
I can't wait,
