I finally returned to office after more than a week of WFH! Kinda miss WFO because of Tanjong Pagar and Chinatown food haunts 😆
Also experienced rather mixed emotions this week because I got rejected for a role that i was really keen on 😢 While I was counter offered an adjacent role, I’m not quite sure about my interest in its job scope. Still thinking through - hope i get a clearer sense on this next week!

To be honest, when I first saw your videos when TH-cam recommended, I’m somehow got motivated again because I have been working full time as well as studying part time masters degree and is so mentally exhausting. But when I watch your daily life, this kinda reminded me again that everyone has to work and not just me which kinda gives me the motivation again that at least I’m not alone. I went through a similar situation this year and all I can say is, what you want is worth the wait and what's meant to be yours will be yours.

New to your channel and really enjoying your vlogs😊 I’m also currently in search of a new job and I do have offers but those that I am more interested in told me to wait as they are currently full 😢 If it was you, what would you do? Would you wait but risk of them not contacting back or would you just join a company that you are not as interested in?
Thank you! Hmm if you currently have a job and are ok staying on a bit more, then it’s possible to wait for a job offer you’re keen on. But if you’re unemployed or current job is causing you too much mental stress, then you gotta assess practical needs to secure a job soon.

Just a very curious question though, even though I noticed you don't show much of identity in your videos, it'll still be fairly easy to get identified by people you know. (in office, friends etc.)

Please do not be discouraged about the job interview though! Being rejected means there is a better opportunity awaiting you!
On another note, I noticed that you have the black security card with the logo attached to your work laptop. Assuming you might be in the govt tech sector.
Hence another question of what are you trying to jump into? & why? (Private? Still govt but another entity? Mental health?)
Just really curious about at this point because as a fresh graduate myself, I have the thought that, gov = iron rice bowl (might be the idea of older generation)

My friends and closer colleagues are actually aware that I vlog. In fact they sometimes help me adjust camera angles at lunch HAHA. If people I know come up to say they recognise me, I’ll just admit and thank them for watching 😂
You’re not the first one who thought I work in gov haha. It’s tricky for me to address this due to the nature of my work so I’ll have to leave this unanswered. But I’ll try to explain more about why I’m job hunting in my next vlog!

This year does seem tough for fresh grads due to the potential incoming economic downturn. But companies are still kind of hiring (though being more careful). Hence as per the news, the great resignation wave is starting to end soon with power shifting back to employers. 😅
