    How do you go about changing the readout from KM to MPH? Is it difficult to have the speed gauge replaced with one that shows only MPH? I'd like to see how the fuel gauge indicates different levels of gas. A tiny little gap in a thin black line isn't gonna cut it. Can that be replaced as well? What is the top weight supported for the riders and cargo?

      This would be a good one for local riding, but be advised that if you have temper problems related to your cpsd, any bike, or trike is going to have you seeing many moronic drivers doing stupid things around you because they aren't paying attention! This one and if you prefer not having the plastic fairings , the Viking (PST150-8), or the Maddog (PST150-19N) is a good choice. Same power train as the Q-6, but in an open frame. It also has foot pegs for the driver and passenger where the Q-6 has a standard scooter type floor for the driver's feet.

    We got the muffler rewelded and that appears to be OK now, but it shortly thereafter began sounding like the muffler's baffles were gone. Got louder and louder. I checked the exhaust system because it sounded to me like the pipe was leaking between the head and the muffler, but all of the noise is coming out of the tail of the muffler. (Not as loud as a straight pipe, but getting closer as time goes by. (trike is more than a year old, but only gets about 3 miles a day, 4 days per week to go back and forth the 1 1/2 miles to work and the occasional other short errand run. (usable year round here in Vegas) I've noticed that it is now beginning to "pop" on deceleration as well. Is that a valve beginning to go? Planning to take it to a reputable local scooter shop soon, but have to earn some money first. (Inflation is eating paychecks much quicker than it did!)

    • @davidallen2098
      @davidallen2098 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check my earlier answer for the problems I've had. The good: The problems I have had are minor. The trike fires up and rides fine all of the time. I haven't had any of the horror story tranny belt, carb and valve failures many Chinese bikes have. Might just be luck of the draw, or this model gets better quality control. Most of the major problems I have heard about were with the 49cc engines and that nice looking but POS 250 cc "Road Warrior" trike. (PST250T)

    • @davidallen7211
      @davidallen7211 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidallen2098 Still a bit noisy, but noise leveled off to still be quieter than a straight pipe. "Popping" stopped after I did a little carb tweaking. (Mixture screw had vibrated to a bit rich. Added a drop of super glue to keep it from loosening again. (I didn't use lLocTite as you can break Superglue loose on metal to metal applications if you need to adjust later.) Trashed the travel trunk. It is so thin that the lock breaks out of it. Replaced it with a milk crate that does what I need. Almost due for its 4,000km check at the shop. I also removed the cable lock at the seat so the seat doesn't have a lock. (The lock assembly is tied to the ignition switch via a long cable that stretches.) I don't keep any valuables under the seat, but it is an extra storage spot when needed and as long as no one knows it doesn't lock, it is safe. Those are the total "glitches" I've had, so I must say this isn't a bad daily rider machine.
      It is more expensive than some models and if you don't need all the plastic "pretty pieces" the Icebear Viking (PST150-8) is the same bike mechanically, but without all of the extra plastic and tiny windshield. it will do the same things and save some $700-900 depending on where you buy it. (Called a Honda Ruckus clone) It also has a travel trunk, but it is much larger than the one on the Q6. (I don't know if the trunk is any better built!)

    Do you need a license to ride this bike?

    • @davidallen2098
      @davidallen2098 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on your state, but having a 1500 cc engine and 50+ mph top speed, it is considered more than a moped, so yes, you will need a license to operate it on the street. Class of license required varies by state. Some states call it a motorcycle and require a motorcycle license, while some states call it a "3 wheel vehicle" and only require a regular car license. (NV is that way, but even they require a helmet.)

      Then go with a 250 or larger engine. The 150 is quite stable at 50 mph, but like with any trike, don't try to lean for tight turns. Won't happen and you'll end up plowing off the road in a straight line. (if you don't roll it!)

      Had the same problem even after several adjustments, so took the lock out of the seat end completely. No one knows it doesn't lock and the seat stays down while riding. The cable lock tied to the ignition is really a stupid idea (IMO) If you want a lock, fabricate something to fit in the cable lock's hole under the seat and use a small padlock if you need security.
