Sorry to burst your bubble, and I am sorry you wasted your money on Alesis drum kits. Alesis was known for making beginner low-budget e-kits. Now, they have branched into high-end e-kits. Sadly, Alesis doesn't make great e-kits. Alesis Strata Prime is an improvement over the Strike Pro Se, but as reviewers have pointed out, it is still flawed with issues. I think one day Alesis will come out with a good kit worth burying, but as of now, they don't. If you are truly into playing drums and you want to get good, you need a good high-end e-kit or an accustic kit. The toy kits Alesis has will get you started into drumming, but if you take what you learned and go play an accustic kit or a good high-end e-kit you will feel like you are not as good as you thought. This is because most Alesis kits do not have the feel, sound, dynamic range, response, realisticness, or sound of a good high-end e-kit or accustic kit. Until Alesis comes out with a good functioning higher-end e-kit, I would not buy from them. There are several good brand high-end e-kits that are 99.9%, like playing an accustic kit and less expensive than the flawed Strata Prime e-kit. The Dm10 you think you may want plays 20% like an accustic kit. Personally, I would do more research into the world of electronic drum sets so you can find one that will teach you and allow you to play a drum set properly. I would sell the kits you have and get a good high-end e-kit. If you get a good high-end e-kit, there will be no need to upgrade it or buy a different kit. In the long run, you will save a ton of money and become a better propper drummer.

Can you share your trigger settings with me. I have the same kit but can not get it dialed in thank you

I have the same problem no one really goes over trigger set up.
The out of the box experience isn't that great.

You have to just tweek the settings until you get a sound you like. Alesis in general does not have good sounds. If you use a computer and a VST you will have great sounds as he recommends in the video. No one goes over trigger settings because sounds are all subjective.

I was thinking of ordering the nine piece kit. All the drums look small though. I wanna feel like I’m actually at the drums and not a video game arcade kit.

That is what it kinda can feel like sometimes, just good for hand practice and learning song

@@Danny333 I bought the mk2 pro kit this morning. Just looked like a far better kit. Has the look and feel of a traditional set while still being able to keep things quiet when I need too. I’m pretty excited supposed to get delivered in next few days.

dude, buy the alesis prime strata

@@alfredsomeralimable it wasn’t released when I bought my kit. It was maybe a day or two later and it was this big thing. Other thing is price tag. I payed a fraction of the price for an mk2. Then after upgrading all my cymbals and the kick drum. I still come in less than buying an alesis strata.

I'm commenting while starting the video so not sure if my question is covered. I bought this same kit 2 weeks ago from Sweetwater. When using the headphone or mono out, the volume is extremely low even when I crank the volume. I've read comments in a lot of E-drum videos saying I need a small 2 channel eq. Anyone else struggling with volume? Everything is in working order, it's just way to quiet. Thanks everyone.

So I heard this is a common problem with Alesis modules, you can try reaching out to them about it, or you can get a multi channel headphone input with audio mixing, that helped me with the issue I had on a previous module, hope this helps!!

@Danny333 thanks bud. I reached out to Sweetwater. Hopefully it's something easily remedied. I understand if they are made with reduced volume to avoid damaging speakers, but it should definitely be louder than what I'm getting. If I were to rank the volume, at max, on a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 2. Something seems off. Hopefully I get a quick response.

You say the DM10 is not a beginner kit because of price. Any e-kit under $2,000.00 is concidered a beginner kit and only a toy of a drum set.
