Monday Night Football 1982 something like Chargers 50 Bengals 35 one of the earliest games I remember. Wish I had been born 5 years earlier and had seen SD from day one with Coryell. I need to watch more on the Coryell Cardinals, doesn't get as much attention
Dan Fouts and Dan Marino careers are so similar. They were both prolific passers that were unstoppable. If they only had a defense they would have been Super Bowl champions. Their offense was far ahead of anything in the NFL at the time. Don Coryell revolutionized passing offense in the NFL. If Dan Fouts or Dan Marino played today they would easily throw for 5000 yards and 50 touchdowns. They were so exciting to watch. However, trading James Brooks to the Bengals was a major mistake on Don Coryell.
