Old Broncos Fan as in since Coach Red Miller days. The Air Coryell years were very special, 45 plus points a game was routine. The other team had to score 50 to compete. Mad respect for the great QB Dan Fouts, both on and off the field. Coach Coryell belongs in the NFL HOF. Peace.

This is true. Dan Fouts said if it weren't for Don Coryell he would not be in the Pro Football Hall Of Fame. Coryell also deserves to be in for the way his offense changed the game of football.

Kelly Winslow T.E. RB and Chuck Munice and James Brooks too the offense was awesome to watch. AFC playoffs 1981 Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers was high scoring game was a thriller to watch. Coach Coryell was a real innovation 💡 to the game.

I so appreciate what Fouts and others have stated. What is bizarre to me is that politics may keep Don out of the HoF. I was born Oct. 17, 1954 in Chula Vista and became a Charger fan in 63. I am stoked to know that Coryell and I share the same birthday and loved Charger power. Those days are gone. What a ride, thanks guys. This is for those that remember the outdoor sign just before you exit west on 8" to Fairmount ave... "To Tank and John, Dan and Don thanks for turn'in the power on"

Yes, I hope that one day the HOF does get it right, and put Don Coryell in his rightful place in Canton. A truly great innovator and coach. He took two dormat franchises and turned them into contenders and changed the passing game completely around. Also a college coach of few peers, this man was a genius. That's a term that's thrown alot too much lately, but it does apply to this man. Also a great job by my favorite player of all-time, Dan Fouts. Thanks for posting all the tribute clips.

Man you said it! There are way too many great players not in the HOF and probably never will be. The old guys are being forgotten and that's a shame! Pat Fischer, Alex Karras,(yes everyone knows he'll never get in and why...he still deserves it), Mike Curtis,Jim Tyrer,Jim Marshall,Johnny Robinson,Curley Culp, and about 100 more! The Pro Football HOF is as big a joke now as the Rock and Roll HOF! There are only 2 players in the HOF who I don't believe deserve it but far too many who do. Sad.

With everything he did, Don Coryell is not in the Hall of Fame ? He invented the I formation in the running game, and the air attack that revolutionized the passing game. That alone should be worthy of the Hall of Fame because he changed the game. What an over sight.

It is an absolute travesty that Don Coryell isn't in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His Air Coryell offense won Super Bowls for 3 different franchises. The 80s Redskins. The 90s Cowboys. The Greatest Show On Turf Rams. He turned two losing franchises, the Cardinals and the Chargers, around. Get it right Canton!

Madden, Gibbs, and Walsh. 3 Hall of Fame coaches with 7 combined Super Bowl wins and 358 total wins. All of them learned their craft and coached under Don Coryell. It’s a crime that he isn’t in the Hall of Fame yet.
