Aut Laud nasce per un motivo semplice.
La mia capacità di ritenere le informazioni, le idee, gli scenari, le storie che i libri mi regalano si è drasticamente ridotta nel corso degli anni.
Dimentico facilmente quanto leggo.
Leggere “Aut Laud” (ad alta voce) mi permette di ovviare, in parte, a questa deficienza.
Philip Roth, qui, parla anche di questo.
Come posso non continuare ad amarlo?

Hebrews made the same thing with words than italians made with art. Very similar people, same sense of humour, just maybe more melancholic indeed. And more mature (it isn't difficult with italians, don't you?), I always very much admired them. Their intellectual side, their sense of business, their decadent vision of the world. If only they would be less severe with themselves... and with others.
