I know it’s not really an excuse for a bad game but when watching someone else get an ending it’s revealed the screenwriter for the game died with a heartfelt rest in piece message I think the developers really tried to pick this game back up to at least be functional and stay true to what their friend wanted, I can’t help but feel that it affected the development a lot and it now being this buggy mess So even though Zoochosis is not a great game, I can commend the developers for at least completing the game and trying to put effort into it, I hope the bugs will be fixed and this can be more of a polished game

Even then you can’t even fight the queen monster behind everything. You just take care of all the minions while making some small decisions and other puzzle and in the end you either get fed to it or it just screams at you as it gets locked away for good.

Man that’s so unfortunate. They had really charming animal animations and actual restraint in building up atmosphere but then they hit us with the late game hardlocks and unhinged voice acting. A part of me hopes that they’ll get their shit together eventually with a big fix patch and a price drop because I like what they were cooking here but it was not at all ready to be sold for money.

But yea, this game really needed more idiot-proofing*, so if the issue is happening because of some oversight by a player, that would have helped to avoid it... *Don't know the correct term for this, but my IT professor always said we needed to idiot-proof/user-proof out programms.

That game was SUPER broken. Compared to this one, this one kinda has a interesting story but I feel like they should’ve spent more time on it and had game testers. I think the voices are AI, they used that in their old game as well. Really disappointing result.
Looking at the trailer I was so excited for a zoo themed horror game that took inspiration from the thing. It had some pretty cool mechanics like actually trying to treat the animals but it definitely needs more work. Because seriously how are you supposed to tell who is infected and who isn’t, from what I can tell there literally isn’t any signs that an animal is a mimic or infected

This is honestly one of those games I feel really bad for, considering its layout and opening section is pretty solid. It's just not worth playing without a save feature and the complete lack of direction. Not to mention how slow repetetive and buggy it feels during its runtime. Heck, it doesn't fully pay off on the horror side of things...I was anxiously waiting to see random grotesque transformations happening WHILST you were taking care of the respective animals. Maybe it'll be updated and fixed, but this is such a disappointment in my book.

The first half of the steam made the game look so cool and unique but then the second half where the game broke and everything started to fall apart the negative reviews made sense. Such a shame as I honestly love the idea of this game. It could have been so good. I hope that this game can possibly get patches to fix it or someone else can make a better version of this game later on.

As much as everyone is Absolutely dog piling on hating this game, I find it… still amusing. It still has promise atleast but has a lot more tests to go through. I kinda like the difficulty of having to figure out yourself how to heal them and failing, because it opens the potential for EVERYTHING to go wrong, even down to how you feed them. The endings I’ve seen are… not the best, but around what I’d see for a b movie plot- kinda cheap but maybe enjoyable if everything doesn’t bug out.

I'mma say while yeah this game is shit in so many aspects, I don't think the way you detect the mimic should be a criticism. The way it works is if an animal is ACTING sick, vomiting, lesions, fighting each other, being scared of certain things, but then not having any signs in the analysis, that one has to be the parasite mimicking a disease. That is specifically how you detect the mimic, and I don't think it is any better or worse of a method than adding signs on infected ones or having signs entirely unrelated to the illness in the pen, it just needs to be explained better. Like literally just a simple "symtpoms aren't showing on the analysis" in the bit where it says they're mimicking diseases would've been enough Also, not enough people are bringing this up, but the game does appear to use AI generated voices for some characters, which isn't necessarily horrendous, but I'm also suspecting a lot of the dialogue is AI generated as well, with phrases like "are not so many" being something I see AIs use a LOT to express a low amount of something, as well as doc unnecessarily reminding you of details you're already aware of, another thing AI loves doing.
I think I may have slipped into alternate universe today (or had a weird dream) because around this morning, I coulda sworn I saw videos in my recommended saying the game was actually good and stuff. Too bad.
