Oh wow! The last time I was in Ensenada was so long ago, in December ‘87! I remember it was freezing cold and raining. She introduced me to my first street fish tacos! Lol…. Me and my roommate drove from the L.A. area, and we were about 21 years old at the time, my roommates parents had a permanent trailer set in Rosarita Beach and we stayed there one night, the next day we drove to Ensenada late afternoon and went to a few of those bars. We just wanted to go dancing and meet cute guys! Lol… we met a small group of people and they were from L.A. too so they let us stay in their hotel room, they had two rooms, so we didn’t have to drive back so late, and tired, especially being that we were two single girls. We were actually not big into getting drunk, we had those tropical looking drinks but danced so much, we sweat out the alcohol anyway! But because my friend was driving and knew her way around better than I did, we both were careful. Seeing your video brings back fun memories. After we got back home, I went to see my mom and step dad, I had some souvenirs for my family. I told my mom we went to Mexico, and she’s being a mom, “What?! You two went by yourselves, are you crazy”?! I didn’t tell her the part where these Mexican police had a check point, my friend gave one police $10.00 and he gestured to move on! It was scary because there wasn’t any other cars behind us or in front of us, so that made me nervous. What’s funny, my then roommate and I are Mexican-American but don’t know a word of Spanish! Money gets you out of anything over there. We had a great time but I never went back since. My husband and I had a Mexican cruise for our honeymoon a few years later but it was to Cabo, Matzalan and Puerto Vallarta. That was more fun! Thank you for sharing and bringing back fun memories! 😁
We think the price went up to $5. They give you a ticket for the return trip. Each time we have done it the drop off/pickup has been different but there was always a shuttle waiting. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.
@@flipthecoin888 there are several shuttle buses that run all day, back-and-forth. They pick you up where they drop you off. There is almost always one waiting to take people back to the ship. Over the years the drop off place has changed, but you will know where it is.
We were there December 1, 2021. It was about 75°. We would say it’s usually between 60° and 80° there. But that probably doesn’t help much. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.
@@PortMonkeys I read Disney cruise you can take 6 beer or 1 bottle of wine on board per port stop. Thought maybe there would be some cheap beer in port somewhere I can take back on board
We never do. But if you do, then you can pay the posted prices. Sometimes when paying in dollars you get shorted on the exchange rate. But we're only talking a few cents. And of course, you always lose money at the currency exchange places. Today's exchange rate is $1 US = 20.37 Pesos. It has been around 20 for years now. Thanks for your comments and thanks for subscribing to our channel.
We usually just use dollars but sometimes you get cheated on the exchange rate. 20 pesos = $1 US right now. Thanks for your comments and thanks for subscribing to our channel.
We were there a week ago and it was $4. We walked into town this time but have not made the video of that yet. It's about a mile. Thanks for your comments and thanks for subscribing to our channel.
In 1993 Mexico re-valued their money. The current rate is around 20 pesos = $1 US. t had been as much as 3000 pesos = $1. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.
Unfortunately, there is some of both there. Plus, how would you know if it’s really made in Mexico. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.
tthanks for the video....don't have to visit it now...hasn't really changed since my visit in 2007...
We used to camp near there when I was a kid. It’s changed a little. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.
Love seeing your port walks. Thanks for the video, during this time of no sailings.
Thanks! More videos are on their way. Thank you for your comments and we hope you subscribe to our channel.

How does the “round trip” for $3 work? When do you pay and how often are the pick up times to go back to the ship? Thnx for the video

@@PortMonkeys the pickup part sounds confusing! Do they just tell you where and at what time? Ty for your vid’s!

How was your trip?
How much is a 6 pack of beer closest to cruise terminal? Want to take back on my cruise ship
We have no idea. We don't think they will let you have it on the ship. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.

They will confiscate it and return it on the last day of the cruise. Don't buy it near the cruise terminal though. You can get it cheaper at the city.
Thanks for the video. It doesn’t look too exciting so that’s good to know.
We've been there a lot over the years. There are many things to do that are not in this video. Thanks for your comments and thanks for subscribing.
