I have the Rambo 3 knife and the MK8. I'm very happy with both. the Rambo 3 knife is a beast and its huge. the MK8 with a bowie/ Ka bar style blade and its sweet. I too use them with chopping down trees and small bushes in my backyard. I have the Pohl Force MK8 and its a great blade too. definitely going to get the throwing blade from Rambo 2 next. lov3e the channel.

My wife used to sell the Rambo 3 knife at the US Calvary Store. They had several authentic Gil Hibbon signed knives for $1000.00 and the licensed ones for just over $100.00. I never got one but wish I did.
i actually took a knife making class with gil. hes actually the only one who makes the full sized blade. all the united cutlury and replicas from other companys are actually smaller.
That Rambo 3 knife would be MUCH better had they made a fuller instead of a giant hole in the blade...(I detest holes in ANY blade, and absolutely refuse to buy them..spyderco etc) Your upgraded version of the Rambo Dbad knife is my favorite. Cool hat btw
I finally managed to get the Rambo 4 machete only yesterday. The collection is complete now apart from the boot knife, which i am not sure if i even want it.

@@imanafshari6128 no. The slot was made for the awful wing blades. Lucky for everyone, Stallone said hell no. Took out the fantasy crap and had a great knife. My redesign should be done late January. Going to be the best version of that knife on the planet
@@imanafshari6128 Yes. The Rescue. Designed by Hibben and was thought to be the one for the movie, but Stallone wanted to go a different route. It was another saw back hollow handle and pretty much just a copy of Liles designs. They already shot a scene with it and rather shoot all over again, they left it in.

You mentioned using JB Weld to strengthen the Rambo II knife. What kind and how much do you use? Do you have to tape it up so it doesn't leak down the blade? And chance you know how long the lanyard on this knife is and what knot works best?
JB Weld two part epoxy. It does help to fill the gap. You can hot glue it with a glue gun and then cut it off after the JB Weld is dry, that way you don't have to worry about tape getting stuck. Fill it just enough to cover the end of the tang, or if you don't care if it's hollow, fill as much as you want. I don't have a length for the lanyard.
I love Rambo knives. My first one was #3. But, it was a heartbreaker. Due to the rat tail tang. I love your John J. Tribute. AND! Its a full tang! 😃 Will be getting it. Jed makes great knives and cant wait to see the one thats coming to you.

I love all you do great guy and reviewer! I’m wanting a replica of both crocodile Dundee and Rambo’s knives. But I don’t know what ones are good quality and at a good price. I was told the Rambo knife maker still makes knives but he’s really expensive? I got told to avoid the Chinese made stuff, as they can’t handle abuse? Also I’m in the U.K. so it might be harder to these items.
Down Under Knives, The Outback is a great quality Dundee knife. Rambo knives are from different makers. HCG makes the newest ones only and Gil Hibben by United Cutlery makes good Rambo III and IV blades. HGC will make a nice Mission 1 and Mission 2 but they are better for light use. Jimmy Lile makes the best Rambo 1 and 2 but very expensive.

It’s hard to find them over in the U.K. And it’s the shame with the Rambo knives, there are “Rambo styled” knives. Official ones but some versions are pretty cheap and others are over £100. Some are signature editions too. Are there any fake ones on the market? That have all the official markings?

But the new Rambo knives are actually made from amazing super steels and are phenomenal blades. As for as the crocodile Dundee stuff they do make one version in 1095 and the other is in for 40C which is still a very great steel. But if you don't mind waiting my design will be coming out either late this year or early next year for a next generation crocodile Dundee that is full Tane with fantastic steel

As I have seen other versions go for 120-150. I have seen rough rider make a similar Bowie with stack leather. But I’m not sure how accurate it is. Looks close. Does the Crocodile Dundee Knife I’ve an all brown handle or red at bits of it too? And I’m happy to get any good quality replica absolutely! It would be worth the wait too!
Hey Donnie what’s it mean when you don’t bend the brim of the hat? I have my cap with a nice folded brim? I never thought it looked right with the straight brim......... and I am 50 years old....... I’ll ask my wife if I should wear my cap with a straight brim!!!!!!! The jury is out on this one thanks
It keeps the hat fit more proper. THe brim folded down creates a pinch in front of the temples. Brim folded up created a pinch in back of the temples. A flat brim keeps the bowl round.

The notches on the rambo 3 knife represent each member of baker team, Barry bearing the biggest one hence the larger notch

How do those hollow-handled knives hold up to use? Does the handle act as a tang?
I use them for chopping down light weight trees and vines. They can be made to be stronger by pouring some JB Weld into the base.
