  • LaDainian Tomlinson broke the NFL single-season touchdown record of 28 when he scored three times Sunday in the San Diego Chargers' victory over the Denver Broncos.
With the fans chanting for Tomlinson, the star running back took a handoff from Philip Rivers and scored on a 6-yard run with 3:57 left to tie the mark.
Tomlinson said. "When we're old and can't play this game anymore, them are the moments we are going to remember. We made history today
"There's no better feeling than to share it with the group of guys that's in that locker room."
"He is the finest running back to ever wear an NFL uniform," Chargers coach Marty Schottenheimer said.

idk Brees was actually comeback player of the year and had a 9-7 team just barely miss the playoffs. He had victories over the 13-0 Colts At indy (first loss of their season) and then ENDED the 2 year undefeated streak at the Patriots homefield. Brees had Manning’s number and did well against Tom Brady. Phillip has never beaten the Patriots ever. I dont think we wouldve gone 14-2. But I think we wouldve won the Super Bowl. Btw that 9-7 team had the most difficult schedule ever seen at the time. Nothing but top ranks for each opponent. We even faced TO with the Eagles losing on a blocked field goal. That game cost us the playoffs.

i had LT on my fantasy team this year, and was down by like 37 points going into that monday night game against the broncos.... i think he had 175 rushing yards, like 78 receiving yards, and 4 total touchdowns.... i ended up winning by like 11 points.... it was insane

Why would the Chargers ever sign an aging Philip Rivers to a massive contract... If he couldn't get the job done with one of if not the best RB and TE to ever play and Vincent Jackson he will NEVER win a superbowl. Bad singing if you ask my, if they want a serious chance at winning they need to move on from RIvers or they will be stuck winning 7 to 9 games a season and never be a serious contender to win it all.

rivers is the reason they're even winning that many games. without him they wouldn't even make it to 6.
I hate ignorant fans. Just because a) Marlon McCree and b) Rivers torn ACL/Pats being unfair in 2007-08 means Rivers was the problem back then and still can't win? That's a logical fallacy, post hoc ergo propter hoc, and just shows that you don't know shit about football.

500+ yards against Green Bay. And you say he needs to go? But that's on my business 🐸☕️

+Luke Dekker - 500 yards and a loss. Rivers is afraid to go under center now and they let him call his own plays. Without a running game, Rivers and the Chargers will only win 7 to 9 games a season.

+eddiebear60 I don't know if you're agreeing with me or not. But if you're disagreeing with me, you made my point. He has no running game or protection and he's still putting up numbers. It takes a team, not a quarterback to win the Super Bowl.

Sometimes I can't believe just how good we were.
AJ Smith could really hit or really miss on players in the draft
But when he hit...Boy were they good!
    Vincent Jackson
    Michael Turner
    Darren Sproles
    Shawne Merriman
    Antonio Cromoartie
    Philip Rivers
    Malcolm Floyd
Antonio Gates (Not drafted but smart enough to give him a shot)
    Nick Hardwick
    Eric Weddle
    Shaun Phillps
    Donald Butler
    Corey Liuget
    etc etc etc

Let's not forget, he wasn't getting the ball much in those playoff games. You say he averaged 46.8 yards a game, but let's actually look at those games. In 2004, he had 80 rushing yards on 26 attempts (decent) in 2006 he had 123 yards on 23 attempts (excellent). Now we all know he began declining after the 2006 season not to mention he was sharing the ball a lot more (Michael Turner in 2007, Darren Sproles in 2008 and Shonn Green in 2009-2010).

this team embodies what the chargers are.... pretenders. Looking back on that team they were so talented, possibly the most talented team the league had seen in YEARS. and they completely chocked. Brady didnt even have a good game against the chargers and they easily could have put the pats away on numerous occasions, but they just didnt, they are such a joke

  • @blackanimelover18

Never did anything? He has 468 rushing yards, 6 rushing TDs, 176 receiving yards, 2 receiving TDs. He only played in 10 playoff games. And if you remember, he DOMINATED the Pats in the 2006 playoffs, you can credit that loss to a fumbled INT.
Please know what you're talking about before you disrespect one of the greatest RBs of all time.

  • @VicVega611
    @VicVega611 12 ปีที่แล้ว

lets look at these numbers, 10 playoff games, 468 yards, ok so thats 46.8 rushing yards per playoff game(pathetic), 176 recieving yards so thats 17.6 yards per game (below average for a RB who caught the ball often) and 8 total touchdowns so 0.8 touchdowns per game. Thanks for solidifying my point

    Ahh...Vintage LT!
Its sucks to see this because it feels like just yesterday. Such studs: LT with key FB NEAL!!! Young Jackson! GATES! McNeil! Turner The Burner returning kicks! Merriman before he died! As frustrating as Marty Ball was at times, we miss him dearly.

I know this video is for LT/Chargers fans and by no mean am I a Chargers hater or Broncos lover but R.I.P. to Darrent Williams the player that ran the Pick 6 at the Beginning of the video... It's sad he died a little over a month after that Pick 6

Amen to that, we had the coach and the players well besides our kicker obviously but that was definitely our year to win it all it sucks that they lost their heads against the patriots in the playoffs, all the penalties at the end cost us the game

Everybody was in their prime besides Rivers. He was too young. If we kept drew Brees we would have won multiple Super Bowls. This is the best team ever that didn't win the big game.
