Commandos 2 HD Remaster vs Original - Quick Comparison

Today the HD Remaster of Commandos 2 has been released. Commandos 2: Men of Courage was originally published in 2001 and was considered as one of the best real-time tactics games of the time. Like its predecessor you play with a few Allied special forces with different abilites in World War II and have to accomplish certain mission objectives. Great game, nice remaster, but still bad controls...
I played both games on the same computer with max settings, for the remaster in 1080p, for the original in 1024x768 resolution. The latter was the highest native resolution, although there may be unofficial patches or ini settings that allow to play in higher resolution, but the higher the resolution in the original game the smaller the items and characters.

I think they just upscaled the textures using AI (and a bad one at that too) and that's it.

Upscale the textures properly instead of oversharpening them and ruining them, not replacing the OG player models with the terrible plasteline-looking new ones, not censoring everything, not breaking crouch animations...
Literally all we wanted them to do was let us play the original in modern high resolution and aspect ratios. Instead they downgraded everything.

17 Euro ist doch eine Frechheit. Vermutlich gibts da irgendwelche Overhaul-Projekte im Netz, die das alte Game gratis auf den neuesten Stand modden. 17 Euro für ein paar bessere Texturen, aber schlechtere Animationen.

the remaster was such a lies, all it did was reusing the same map, im pretty sure the reason the og map so blurry because tech issue, we're using the same map in the remaster since most if not all the detail are the same, the UI look terrible and the character model look like something an AI generated would do but the AI is hijacked by rats

In terms of graphics, there are not too much difference. But speaking of game features, multiplay has been removed. By the way, if you guys choose Chinese as the game language, you'll realise that a bunch of gay men who can't even speak proper Chinese dubbed the game for the vioceovers.
