I must have seen this clip 20 times already. I love the tone and your playing Chris, so refreshing to see someone not playing metal riffs to demonstrate this amp.
I love to watch this demo just to listen to you play. This was one of the deciding demos for my ht 20 purchase about 6 months ago. I can honestly say i've never been happier with a purchase
Hats off to one of the best amp demos ever.. you show the fabulous capabilities this amp offers!!!.. . the cleans are fender'ish fabulous.. and it gets that srv sound without blinking.. you just showed me my next amp..lol.. just need to save the money for it now..again just a great review....
the best!!! demo ive seen for this amp!blackstar needs to post you on thier page bro! i was tring to decide between the ht 20 head and the night train, but thax 2 you im gonna get the blackstar!!!!awesome riffing my dude!!
Excellent video, both the demo of the amp and the guitarists playing. Your video helped me decide on the ht stage 100....Whoa!! that sucker is loud. Thanks for the vid.
Looking at getting one of these in my quest for a John Mayer on a budget tone and here we have it being played with a strat and a lot of John Mayer licks, perfect! Thank you!
@edko00 I have HT-60 2x12 and I play it mostly maybe at 1/4 volume, because it's very loud. But it has this kind of "breakup" also on low level volume settings, also you can use that OD channel for it (and on HT-60 you have also class A/B - class A swich on the clean channel, on class A setting it gives you nice breakup also on Clean channel, when you turn the volume up slightly). Remember it has a master volume, but also separate volume controls, so you can get really nice tone on low volumes.
From Lollar's web site: "The Nash strat style guitars have Lollar Vintage Blonde ® pickups for the neck and middle positions, and a Lollar "Nash" style strat bridge pickup, a slight variation on the Lollar Special S ® series bridge. For "off the shelf" ordering, you would want to order the Lollar Blondes for the neck and middle, and the Lollar Special S for the bridge. We refer to this combination as our "Dirty Blonde" set." (J. Wolfe)
@wolfegtrs Mate your playing is just the best, i have just purchased the HT20 Head and 2x12 cab sounds just fantastic. If anyone out there is dithering about buying one of these amps DONT just go get one they are fantastic at this price point. Again excellent playing mate. Cheers. Wish i had the Nash Strat too.
@wolfegtrs I noticed that the master volume was up pretty high, does turning down the master affect the natural slight breakup on the clean channel. I love the tone, i would use this for gigging and sessions and wonder if the 40 watt version would have to be turned up very loud to achieve he same great tone that you are getting on the 20 watt version. Im considering the 20watt and mic'n it up for live sutuations. or does the tone sensitivity and dynamic change alot via the master volume. Thanks
Hi, does the Ht-20 work well for small gigs or does it get sucked by the drummer? I play hard rock and classic metal and I would appreciate your advice.
@paulbaemedia you can't seriously be expecting to hear no noise with this video quality. and yeah, it's most likely room or recording device noise. (tho i suppose it's recorded by camera mic).
great demo and playing. i hear a piercing high pitched (white?) noise in the background. am i the only one to hear that? is that just the recording equipment and room noise?
@Maarten7437 The tone is 90% there thanks to that guitarist (maybe I should say 100%) - but that doesn't mean that this amp isn't great :). It is great and not for much money, comparing to the other manufacturers.
Come for the review, stay for the amazing playing!
I must have seen this clip 20 times already. I love the tone and your playing Chris, so refreshing to see someone not playing metal riffs to demonstrate this amp.
This demo sold me on this amp. After a year of playing through it, I couldn't be happier. Super sweet with a Strat.
It’s so good to see someone that can play the amp as well as the guitar. Great review, great playing.
I love to watch this demo just to listen to you play. This was one of the deciding demos for my ht 20 purchase about 6 months ago. I can honestly say i've never been happier with a purchase
I don't ever comment on videos, but this guy can seriously play. Made that Nash and this Blackstar amp sound amazing.
It's the player and the guitar/pickups that make the soulfull tone! Love it!
Awesome playing. Love hearing a Strat thur a blackstar - really shows how flexible this amp can be.

Guy has it in his fingers: would probably make a broom plugged in an oven sound like hell \m/
LOL.
If you can play, you can play.

That is some seriously beautiful tone. Smooth, clean playing too.
Excellent video, both the demo of the amp and the guitarists playing. Your video helped me decide on the ht stage 100....Whoa!! that sucker is loud. Thanks for the vid.

Your tasteful playing, the amp, and that particular guitar is a perfect match! Keep the amp for yourself, and the guitar too ;-)
It does have one. The input jack acts as a standy switch until you put a cable in. Pretty nifty I think.
Beautifull tone !!!!Thx for the excellent playing !
Great playing - beautiful tone
thats the best clean tone i ever heard, the overdrive's sweet too..i got to try 1 of those amps, and soon!! nice playin man..
Most convincing demo ever.
Sounds fantastic. Great playing man.
Plug in a strat, can get Jimi and SRV, plug in a Gretsch w/Filtr'trons, does Malcom Young.....love this versatile amp!
@wolfegtrs Mate your playing is just the best, i have just purchased the HT20 Head and 2x12 cab sounds just fantastic.

Again excellent playing mate.
Cheers.
Wish i had the Nash Strat too.
That's some great guitar playing... Great demo too. I'm actually going to buy this amp this weekend, or the next.
Anger he smiles towering in shiny metallic purple armor!
I could have listened to that all night
I hear a lot of John Mayer there. Great playing, great guitar and wow! what an amp! i'm thinking of getting one! Sounds amazing!
Already have the HT40 now it's that guitar that I want! Haha
Sweet playing
it would have been nice if you showed a close up of the amp settings that you were using :(
Ziggy, there is a standby switch - you just pull out the input jack :-) Super cool amp and a great demo.
Excellent job!
Great playing!
Very tasteful playing.
very nice play man, feel and sound. keep rockin'
nice playing!
Playin' that guitar just like ringin' a bell....good on you mate.
WOW that sounds great!
What and awesome player, and what an awesome amp!!!
Great playing man!
Great sound also!
Great playing man!
Very nice sound...

Nice looking Heritage 535 in the background. How does that sound through the blackstar?
Hi friend! How is it going?
Congrats for the video.
Can you inform the pick ups that you use in your strat?
Thank you!
Bitchin...! I'm checkn these Nash strats out for sure !!!
Lovely playing! Great demo. I swear by my Blackstar stuff, IMO their drive tone is unsurpassed.
Beautiful playing! What kinda pickups are in your Strat?
Which set of lollar pickups do you have in that strat? It sounds amazing.
In your opinion, you think this owuld get loud for small gigs? Playing metal, hardcore, etc? Im deciding between this and the 40..
Song at 4:48?
Which one is better? This one or the fender vintage 57 RI?
The demo is amp only & no pedals.
Thanks for commenting.
Jay Wolfe
What's the intro song?
Nice demo. Most Blackstar demos focus on the gain qualities. I can hear that this amp could be used to play blues - Buddy Guy type tone.
@steelfrets i saw a pick in his hand around 2:15-2:30

Sounds lovely but there's a very distracting metallic zinging sound - is that the tubes rattling? Probably easily fixed I guess.
Amazing!
I´m getting one !!
damn great, paws!
Wow man, what playing. A guitarist's guitarist perhaps.
great demo and playing.
i hear a piercing high pitched (white?) noise in the background. am i the only one to hear that? is that just the recording equipment and room noise?
Size wise is it smaller/lighter than the ht60 1x12?
Are lollars similar to Texas spec. or CS 69?
what foot switch comes with this?
@WeaselNub its just reliced, just as maple used fretboard
Is that alder? It doesn't quite sound as bright and mid-rangey as ash/maple.
which lollar pickups are these?
0:45 what a song ?
can it do punk crunch like a marshall can?
What is the first song?
is this loud enough for gigging and playing with a drummer?
which Lollars are those? Blonde's, Blackface's, etc...?
wich eq are you using?
So for the money... this or a blues jur nos????
is it ash?
@fairfaxsurfshoprider
I'd suggest their 40 watter for just $100 more. Then you'll have reserve power when needed.
Jay Wolfe
is this just the amp, no boxes?
guitar for sale ?
@Maarten7437 The tone is 90% there thanks to that guitarist (maybe I should say 100%) - but that doesn't mean that this amp isn't great :). It is great and not for much money, comparing to the other manufacturers.
So good ! Nash makes better strats and tells than fender lol
WOW
jimi hendrix - bold as love
i like john mayer too :)
@rolsguitars Slow Dancing In A Burning Room by John Mayer
