I highly recommend keeping an X-pipe, tuning and a kool air intake! That’s from my experience owning a 2012 CTS coupe 3.6L

I got headers, Hi Flow Cats and a Magnaflow Resonated X-Pipe along with a Volant on my 07 CTS 3.6.
Res delete, intake, ported manifold, 80mm throttle body, performance spark/coils, tuned, intake
That magna flow is insane

First one was doing good , last 2 were trumpets

Straight pipe sounded better than I thought it would
I'm willing to bet instead of straight piping if you would have put a big x pipe It would have sounded so much better on the second and third.
When the straight pipe took off and it did the drive-by test all I could envision in my head was some kid bumping 21 Savage with his dad's Columbia fishing shirt on and a Bass pro shops hat that has a squat truck being built in his driveway and old square body or something with a severe squat on it lol lol but to each his own.... Me personally my 3.6 that I just got has only a muffler delete and still has all first and secondary and rezzo all intact and I love it!!!!!!

i bought my 2014 already muffler deleted and it sounds great especially when in manual automatic not so much.

Maybe the mid muffler (from the first CTS before the Magnaflow) should be replaced with large style bottle Vibrants. Just maybe….but it sounded awesome though.

I agree! The magnablow sounds like a broken fartbox and straight pipe is too high pitched for my taste. Maybe some bigger tips might help.

Hey l have a 2012 CTS Luxury Sedan6 with a 3.0 in it. I did a Muffler Delete and left the resonator on it. It sounds Great. But now I bought a Cherry Bomb muffler to put on it right at the back near the Tip, what do ya think ??? Think it will sound Bomb haha (get it)

It’s gonna be muffler delete on this one. The magnapack was honestly a terrible example for it. True duals rarely sound good. Same with the straight pipes.

No it won’t harm the engine. On the contrary it will help with exhaust flow and give you some extra horses

I'm buying an 07 sts V6 with only 44k miles on it from Florida this weekend and I'd like to take some vacation time to drive out to you guys and have ya do a muffler delete and remove the resonator with 4 inch tips. (Maybe just a delete with 4 inch blue tips). Yall do great work and to me would be worth using Vaca time to come to your shop and wait to get it done by yall. Thanks
