I dont know if you are still following this thread but if you are thank you. A month ago the hobbyboss intruders became available again and I caught intruder fever. I bout the three 1/48 kits and then the 1/32 when my stimulus money came in. This aircraft in my humble opinion is the most difficult jet modrl to build . No matter the scale or kit manufacturer. The design by itself is hard to do. Even after 45 years plus of modeling I've never been able to get this kit exactly right as I want it. Then I discovered this serious of your build videos. Thank you the help has been fantastic and I appreciate it. Especially the cure for the ill-fitting radiome and the weak ass wings. Ugh. I have trouble with the canopy sitting correctly closed. But anyway my game has upped thanks to you. Now you have another subscriber. I would ask you to do a hi visit version in 1/48 someday!
Really enjoyed the build. Didn't make it through every episode, but enjoyed and look forward to building my 48 scale one. My favorite part was definitely the painting. Gonna try a few things on mine. Cheers
Highly inspiring series. Being in the last stage of building (or wrestling my way through) the 1/48 Kinetic A-6E Sunday Puncher, your approach has been most helpful. I am not at all at the pro modeller level you are, but still sharing the passion for the hobby in general and this bird specifically. Myself I doubt going for any Kinetic model ever again; compared with this Trumpeter version, the fit on their interpretation of the A-6 is a direct nightmare which I promoted into a challenge and try to become a better modeller myself. With also their instructions and detail being a complete mess, your series kept me going and prevented me from binning the whole project. Next up for me is the Tamiya F-4B 1/48 so surely I will stay tuned for more of your installments!
One of the VERY BEST aircraft model builds ever seen, the tutorials on weathering far eclipsed anything I, ve ever seen and are a must watch for me over and over.... If there is any justice Matt you deserve BEST of Show in the IPMS NATIONALS.... whenever they resume Kudos to you for an absolutely inspirational build Regards Howard
Superb series, and an fantastic finished article! I've learnt so much watching this build on other videos on this channel. One of the best on TH-cam in my view. Keep up the good work!
I have watched the entire series. The amount of work and dedication you put into your builds is incredible! You and plasmo are probably my most favorite channels for scale modelling. Whatever you decide to build next, I will definitely be watching.
Really enjoyed watching through the whole series. And the result is stunning. Hats off to you for doing such a great job. You take your time, explain the process in length including what goes on in your brain. That's fine, we might not always agree but hey, it's your channel, your model. You can do what you want.
Now you have a big a$$ Intruder in your cabinet. I think that sums it up quite well. I enjoyed watching it coming along (but of course not all of the footage. I have a life).
I came along right before the cockpit, and I need to say I love the series! I feel like I have plateaued in my own builds recently and its nice to see some inspiration to push myself and pick up some tips and tricks here and there. Looking forward to the next build!
Matt, just finished watching this build series... holy crap man this is impressive. Not a plane builder myself... but I do like the A-6 in general, it's a cool ass plane. Really liked the whole weathering bit - might be something i can use there myself. Great job man... I'll be watching.
Wow thanks for taken the time to take us on a fantastic journey. Really going to miss this it was great seeing a notification and thinking cool more A6 porn. Surprised you went for a lightly loaded beast considering what could be slung underneath them. As for what next easy really it got to be the intruder's cousin the EA6B Prowler .
Yeah it was the weirdness of the Skipper II, and then the possibility of adding the Zuni pod, that really drew me to the SUCAP loadout. I like a bit of strangeness. As for next - my only option for a Prowler is pretty much stepping down to 1/48 for the Kinetic kit. Not sure about that.
@@DoogsModels I just replied in this thread sharing my experience with Kinetic's A-6E. That box contained also Prowler sprue/parts. Having seen you working on YT, I know you can pull that of. And I also know you will reach a next level in swearing ;-) That box contains sheer modelling horror.
I watched the entire series and it was well worth it! That is the most remarkable 1/32 Intruder I have ever seen! I really hope you are able to put it in a competition because your going to blow them out of the water! Hands down there is not a more beautiful cockpit out there and the weathering is spot on! My step father was a EA-6B pilot in the Marines so these aircraft became some of my favorites early on. Im an aircraft inspector in the Air Force now so the weathering and fit and finish of heavily used aircraft really stand out to me and make for superb subject matter (I have mostly Navy aircraft models in my office which throws everyone off at work but whatever, its all about me! ) Anyway, excellent build dude and I cant wait to see more pictures of it at a show or another setting somewhere! Cheers!
Sat through the whole thing - great build to follow Matt. I just happened to be building my own kit at the same time so I picked up a few tricks along the way. Especially gluing the radome halves to the fuselage pieces worked a treat for me as well. Much better way to approach this than risk ruining all that detail just forward of the intakes (The separate radome will not fit!). Also picked up some ANYZ products for the cockpit. They are simply amazing. Thanks for putting all this together - really cool
I wish I could click Like more than just once. That's a great build. I'm a car modeller and I've loved every part of this journey. I've learned a bunch. Thanx! Looking forward to the next series :)
Nice! Sad to see it end. These videos kept me motivated to keep plugging on my Hornet and also turn ed me on to Anyz parts. Cant wait to see whats next.
My favorite attack aircraft to see in action as a Marine infantrymen and going to start 1st with Hobby Bosses 1/48 A-6E then move to this big boy! Matt awesome job!
16:16 my spare parts bin is overflowing with stuff I know I'll likely never use. Just can't bring myself to dump it. Lovely build though, hell yes to an A-6A in the future in the brightest gawdiest markings. Maybe take a crack at some 1:24 stuff? Airfix's F6F-5 is really nice.
Hi matt just came across your channel so have just joined your channel. Regarding your intruder it looks awesome mate going to watch all your videos on the build as I was wondering will the rivet and the wing problems be the same on the hobbyboss/trumpeter 1/48 intruder kits as have just bought both kits the A6-A and the A6-E. what are your thoughts buddy.
Okay just discovered you. Wonderful skills I hope to develop as I am going to get back into modeling next spring. Do you build for clients ? I have roughly 60 or so kits and find myself wanting to build kits I do not have. Is there such a thing as a plastic model hoarder??????
Glad you're enjoying! I don't build for clients - at that point the hobby becomes work. And yeah - many modelers have stashes, and some of them are insane. 60 kits is a drop in the bucket.
If you look on cell phone repair website you can get tweezers with replaceable plastic tips, good for magnets and such. I think I got them from ifixit. Com or something like it
I've built Two, and you went above and beyond in doing extra stuff that you really didn't need to do. The Rivets/Intakes and wing idea's (who picks up a 1/32 kit by it's outer wing ? ) Really caused you some extra pain ? If you do a "A" just follow the instructions. Matt you have no need to impress people on your ability. Just saying.
Really enjoyed the series. It would be better if you spent less time in front of the camera and put the model in front of the camera. It's so much easier to understand what you're describing if we can actually see what you're talking about instead of a brief second long picture and then back to your face. I prefer to see the model.... No offense.
You attention to detail defies belief. You are a true artist!!

What next?... Let me think... a well deserved beer! 🤗 Wonderful result and worth any effort!

Will Pattison and Night Shift also worth checking out
Just a great video, watched them all.......LMAO through them all.........keep them coming........again thanks Mike

Always enjoyable watching someone of your caliber build. Excellent finished model
Now you have a big a$$ Intruder in your cabinet. I think that sums it up quite well. I enjoyed watching it coming along (but of course not all of the footage. I have a life).
Awesome build Matt!!!

So glad Matt you did this. Very enjoyable indeed. Please do another ?? Lol.
Im in the eu timezone so i enjoyed watching the new vids while drinking my morning coffee

Excellent build, Matt. Can't wait to see you paint that Mustang.
Watched the entire series as well - what can I say other than WELL DONE...
Sat through the whole thing - great build to follow Matt. I just happened to be building my own kit at the same time so I picked up a few tricks along the way. Probably the best build I have watched so far. You are a genius, bro! Keep up the detailed builds.
I wish I could click Like more than just once. That's a great build. I'm a car modeller and I've loved every part of this journey. I've learned a bunch. Thanx! Looking forward to the next series :)
I watched your whole build series for this, outstanding work! I learned a lot from this whole build.
Thank you for the build and the videos, Matt. Another great series.
Watched it all, great work Matt!
Very nice build. Now with it completed you can clean up your shop so that the rest of us can "see" what's on your shelves.
Great job, and beautiful build, Matt. I LOVE the end of this video!!!
Love your builds.... great series
Really nice, looking forward to the Mustang
Nice! Sad to see it end. These videos kept me motivated to keep plugging on my Hornet and also turn ed me on to Anyz parts. Cant wait to see whats next.
great job Matt...john binfiord here.....use a lot of your ideas on my hobbyboss a-6 in progress.
Watched the whoooole thing. Makes me not want to build my A version, but also makes me want to build it.
Absolutely the best how to videos made. Thanks, Matt!

Superb buddy .
Simply awesome man! Now, about next build, how about this 1:32 Tamiya F-4E Phantom II in the all interesting Hellenic Air Force ghost scheme?
Really nice. Brilliant job. You have inspired me to build to that level or try....you didn't keep the box! 😂
Very good job !! Greatings from México city. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
So much awesome oil references in this series. Loved it. Especially with some stuff in the line-up that will need to be beat to fuck
simply Beautiful work A-6. do you have to Tamiya P38 ? if so do that is your next build
Any plans for that 32nd scale p-38l?

I don't get the need for the constant fucking just build and give commentary
