Hellooo Karen, I smiled so wide when you and Robin were talking about alone time, gosh it’s so rare to get that isn’t it so any time alone is precious so grab it! When my hubby retired we thought we’d get to spend more time together, I suppose we do but it’s rarely alone, always someone popping in or wanting something. I have to admit I do at times get a little frustrated, like, when will it be ‘our’ time. I also think it’s good to feel like that, it affirms the love still there between us after 43 years together🥰🥰
Gosh you both did a sterling job in the basement, it’s good if the other half is there too, you may be like me and want to ‘do it all now’ 😂 they’re the sensible partner to help prevent burn out. 😂

Put the sheet rock under the paneling. Then you could use it and makes the leftovers easier to get out of the house.

My whole family started decluttering our basement today. We didn’t get a lot done but it’s a start and I feel motivated.

LOL, who doesn’t love a good “dump date”??! Karen & Robin, the dump, Lowe’s or Home Depot are our favorite dates! 🤣 Hubby & I look at tons of things like tools, flowers, project items, etc. We have fun dreaming of possible projects while looking at the supplies. 😁 My local donation center would take everything you end up carrying to the dump. It’s funny how different areas do things. 🤔😜 I am glad you are getting to think about planting flowers, I have been planting flowers, vegetables and generally enjoying playing in the dirt for a month or longer. I enjoy being outside when it’s in the 70’s or 80’s, higher temps and I want to be inside in the air conditioning. 🤣 Some of the meds I take makes me very susceptible to sunburn so I have to plan accordingly. Y’all did such a fantastic job decluttering! I am glad I suggested using the beadboard to cover the insulation. Seems like I remember someone else may have suggested something similar also. Anyhoo, it’s going to be great getting that covered so you don’t have to worry with it anymore. 👏🏻👏🏻😁 it would be nice if y’all had a metal rack of some sort that you could put the kayaks on in your backyard. It could prevent you having to store them on the ground in the summer and possibly provide winter storage. Could be a future project? 🤔😊 Anyways, I love seeing you two interact with each other on projects. Makes life more fun when you can share it. 😊 I can’t wait to see part 3 and more on The Great Basement Declutter & Cleanup Project. Whoohooo! Fabulous work! I pray your “dump date” was a blast! I did get some clothing donations from one son, who is enjoying organizing. This is an absolute miracle I could never have imagined! Some items were passed on, the rest is in the car awaiting donation drop off. Safe enough to have my geraniums outside. Next weekend the veg starts will go into the garden.

It’s like fiberglass plexiboard. It’s waterproof and we used it over our shower.
