    Hi Julia - Oh my goodness!!! I absolutely love these. The flower and leaf toppers came out so pretty. You come up with the best crafts & things! These would love great on anything. It amazes me at all the fun things you think up to make. Would have never thought about doing this but it’s looks like so much fun. Each one is unique. Might be a nice thing for your Etsy shop and your summer shop too on cute button cards. None would have to match and that would be the great thing. All different kinds to use on any type project.
    Hope you are getting some warm weather. We are chilly here and getting ready for Dogwood Winter later in the week. Already been through Redbud Winter. One more cold snap to go - Blackberry Winter. After that, we should warm up around the first of May! I’m so ready for the ☀️☀️☀️. Take care and have fun with all those awesome buttons! Hugs. 💕☀️🧵

      Hi Pam, I was thinking the same thing about selling these in my shop. What a great idea about the button card. It would be a unique item. It's still cold here but the sun is finally shining. Oh how the sun makes everything better! We are hoping to make a quick trip to TN before my summer shop opens. It is hard to get away in the summer and I'm missing my daughter. Working hard to get product done before I leave but am following your advice and not putting to much pressure on myself. I am SO hard on myself but am getting better :) Have a great week, enjoy the little signs of spring! Julia

      @@stitchesbyjulia I think you need to just load up and head to TN. I’m sure you will have plenty of goodies for your shop. No worries! Life is too short and you need to enjoy the process of making your things. Rushing to do more just wears you out and then you get stressed. At that point, it’s not fun but a chore.
      I have learned that whatever I get done in a day is good enough. Took me a long time to come to terms that I can’t do what I used to but once I did, it makes life so much better. Go see your daughter and enjoy the trip away. I’m sure she’s missing y’all too. Stay safe and have fun!!! Love & Hugs!
      PS - Those buttons will sell like hot cakes in your shop. Make some batches and put on button cards and that’s fun, easy and a great item for your shop! 😊💕☀️

    I have thought of doing decorative buttons with the polymer clay but not over buttons. Are the buttons plastic and if so does the plastic melt and/or put out a plastic odor during baking?
    As a kid we’d bake plastic Mardi Gras beads and melt them in pie tins for sun catchers. That was way back when the beads were strung on string and loose instead of modern beads fused to string. Anyway, the melting plastic would stink baking in the oven, lol. I grew up in an old house with high ceilings and casement windows that ventilated the kitchen well so it wasn’t a big deal and lots of fun.

    • @stitchesbyjulia
      @stitchesbyjulia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I am using a cool temperature (230') for baking. The buttons do not melt or smell however the polymer clay does have an oder when baking. Another option would be clay that hardens with air. I have never used it but would be an option. Thanks so much for watching, Julia
