Thors strength is equal to Supes baseline strength. But Superman can call upon a reserve that the Asgardian doesn’t have. It’s a good fight as Thor has a magical hammer, lightning and incredible combat skills, but Superman’s speed, durability and endurance are just too much. The Kryptonian breaks a sweat but wins this fight.

Once, he read an entire library in less than an hour. So, if he was allowed equal prep-time, then Batman would most likely lose. Hi! To be clear, Superman doesn't technically have a specific magic vulnerability. He is not MORE vulnerable to magic THAN OTHER ORDINARY people. It's just that he has no special defenses against magic, and thus, something that would magically affect a typical person would also affect Superman. So, from this aspect, he weak. Bruce Wayne realized that Superman was as human as he was at that moment. He didn't let him live because his mommy had the same name. He let him live because he connected with him as a fellow human being and even in the few instances that Batman has killed it wasn't a "good person". Like a man simply trying to save his mother. I'm trying to say that most of the times the fans know who is gonna win in Boxing or UFC. They usually know who's the better fighter. So in picking a super hero to win a fictional fight going with what the majority of fans think will happen its the best way to pick a winner.

Thor's hammer is made of Uru and enchanted by Odin. It weights like 40 pounds. Either way Superman would not be able to lift it as he is most likely unworthy.
Superman has canonically lifted Mjolnir, as seen in the JLA/Avengers crossover from the '90s. Why wouldn't he be worthy? He's thoroughly altruistic, has a brave and noble heart, and has been willing to sacrifice himself, time after time, to do the right thing. Captain America has briefly lifted the hammer and he's pretty much in the same boat as Superman in the things I just listed. And though Superman prefers not to resort to violence (as seen in the video above, when Thor demands a fight), when he does fight, he fights like he means it. General Zod has once referred to him as an odd combination of "pacifist" and "warrior." That said, with his utter bravery, selflessness, leadership, and warrior's heart, how couldn't he be worthy?

Yeah, but if it's unclear what is required to be "worthy," then you can neither say that it's likely or unlikely that Superman would be worthy, since there's no clear definition of what "worthy" is. And, again, Captain America has canonically lifted the hammer before and he shares many of the same personality traits and moral principles as the Man of Steel. Only real difference in terms of character is that he's a former soldier and is a man out of time (which, in a way, makes him even more "alienated" from modern human society than the man from another planet; not really relevant, but an interesting thing to note), but Superman has had military training in the comics before (having been trained by General Zod and even made his temporary replacement on New Krypton) and, again, his heart is still in pretty much the same place. I know there's not exactly a written list of required attributes to wield Mjolnir (and if there is, Odin must keep it hidden in a safe or something), but we can still use those who have lifted it as examples. Sure, some of them were only temporarily allowed, but Odin wouldn't have even let them lift it for a second if he didn't think they could handle it or thought that power was misplaced, so he must, on some level, consider them worthy. I think he'd rather have his son continue to wield it, though, so I'd have made Superman's time with it limited as well.

@Icon Of Sin A magic hammer doesn't mean it would harm supes more than iron man, a human. Or cap or hulk. In fact supes would still tank the hits since he still has more durability than any of the above. The whole point of the magic thing is that supes can merely be fought using such weapons, unlike conventional weapons which can't be used to fight him at all. It doesn't make superman weak to magic, just normal damage. Take a knife, no matter how many times you go at supes, he cannot be harmed, ever. Take mjolnir, you now have a fighting chance. Still doesn't get past supes' durability and put him down in one hit or anything. You've got to work that damage off his hp bar.

I still think it could have gone either way. One of superman's weaknesses is magic & Mjolnir is about as magical as a weapon can get. It must also be noted that Superman has faced magical opponents before & can usually find a way to deal with it.
To all the people saying Thor "is a God", lets just clarify something up. Thor is Asgardian and Asgardians can die and be killed. Asgardians are considered Gods my mere mortals for their Size, speed, durability, super human strength, magic, etc. Second, saying Thor is the "God of Thunder" would be like calling Magneto the "God of Magnetism." And yes, Magneto has defeated Thor in Ultimate Magneto by keeping Mjolnir away from him. But back to the topic..Superman very well could defeat Thor as he's faster, just as durable, smarter, and is worthy of holding Mjolnir. The key to beating Thor is keeping Mjolnir away from him (the way Mangeto did it). With that said, Superman is also vulnerable to Magic, kryptonite, and it has been said Thor is possibly stronger. Pound for pound the battle is probably stalemate.

Superman isn't just weak to Kryptonite, he's also weak to magic. Mjolnir is magic, and so is Thor's strength (His belt is magic, and gives him 10x more strength than he has without it), so I'm pretty sure Thor would win.

Bruce Wayne realized that Superman was as human as he was at that moment. He didn't let him live because his mommy had the same name. He let him live because he connected with him as a fellow human being and even in the few instances that Batman has killed it wasn't a "good person". Like a man simply trying to save his mother. I feel that if you'd just think about it that way you would understand the validity of that scene and how it was actually very deep for a movie about superheroes. No offense. It's just my opinion.

Superman is stronger. That's pretty obvious. He lifted the mass of the Earth for 5 days straight while deprived of sunlight and he broke one droplet of sweat. ONE. I'm pretty sure Thor can't do that.
Superman is faster. Flying and combat speed. Also, Superman's reaction time is a femtosecond.
Thor does have magic, but Superman just has no defense against, it's not a weakness like Red Sun or Kryptonite. He has bested magic users before. Shazam and Black Adam (Both who would make short work of Thor) and Superman's beats them almost always.
Mjolnir- Many people think this is Thor's card to seal his victory, but it's actually far from true. 1. Superman can lift it. He has lifted the Book of Infinity, so he would lift Mjolnir. 2. Unrelated note Thors hammer is made from 5 neutron stars and a magical Strom with a enchantment on it . But Supermans house key is 10 neutron stars that he lift and throw around like it's nothing.
Thor's hammer is made of Uru and enchanted by Odin. It weights like 40 pounds. Either way Superman would not be able to lift it as he is most likely unworthy.
Superman has canonically lifted Mjolnir, as seen in the JLA/Avengers crossover from the '90s. Why wouldn't he be worthy? He's thoroughly altruistic, has a brave and noble heart, and has been willing to sacrifice himself, time after time, to do the right thing. Captain America has briefly lifted the hammer and he's pretty much in the same boat as Superman in the things I just listed. And though Superman prefers not to resort to violence (as seen in the video above, when Thor demands a fight), when he does fight, he fights like he means it. General Zod has once referred to him as an odd combination of "pacifist" and "warrior."
That said, with his utter bravery, selflessness, leadership, and warrior's heart, how couldn't he be worthy?

And, again, Captain America has canonically lifted the hammer before and he shares many of the same personality traits and moral principles as the Man of Steel. Only real difference in terms of character is that he's a former soldier and is a man out of time (which, in a way, makes him even more "alienated" from modern human society than the man from another planet; not really relevant, but an interesting thing to note), but Superman has had military training in the comics before (having been trained by General Zod and even made his temporary replacement on New Krypton) and, again, his heart is still in pretty much the same place.
I know there's not exactly a written list of required attributes to wield Mjolnir (and if there is, Odin must keep it hidden in a safe or something), but we can still use those who have lifted it as examples. Sure, some of them were only temporarily allowed, but Odin wouldn't have even let them lift it for a second if he didn't think they could handle it or thought that power was misplaced, so he must, on some level, consider them worthy. I think he'd rather have his son continue to wield it, though, so I'd have made Superman's time with it limited as well.

@Icon Of Sin A magic hammer doesn't mean it would harm supes more than iron man, a human. Or cap or hulk. In fact supes would still tank the hits since he still has more durability than any of the above. The whole point of the magic thing is that supes can merely be fought using such weapons, unlike conventional weapons which can't be used to fight him at all. It doesn't make superman weak to magic, just normal damage. Take a knife, no matter how many times you go at supes, he cannot be harmed, ever. Take mjolnir, you now have a fighting chance. Still doesn't get past supes' durability and put him down in one hit or anything. You've got to work that damage off his hp bar.

I still think it could have gone either way. One of superman's weaknesses is magic & Mjolnir is about as magical as a weapon can get. It must also be noted that Superman has faced magical opponents before & can usually find a way to deal with it.

To all the people saying Thor "is a God", lets just clarify something up. Thor is Asgardian and Asgardians can die and be killed. Asgardians are considered Gods my mere mortals for their Size, speed, durability, super human strength, magic, etc. Second, saying Thor is the "God of Thunder" would be like calling Magneto the "God of Magnetism." And yes, Magneto has defeated Thor in Ultimate Magneto by keeping Mjolnir away from him. But back to the topic..Superman very well could defeat Thor as he's faster, just as durable, smarter, and is worthy of holding Mjolnir. The key to beating Thor is keeping Mjolnir away from him (the way Mangeto did it). With that said, Superman is also vulnerable to Magic, kryptonite, and it has been said Thor is possibly stronger. Pound for pound the battle is probably stalemate.

Superman isn't just weak to Kryptonite, he's also weak to magic. Mjolnir is magic, and so is Thor's strength (His belt is magic, and gives him 10x more strength than he has without it), so I'm pretty sure Thor would win.

Thors strength is no where close to supermans though. Even with the magic belt he couldn't move entire solar systems, superman has though. He also has Thor on speed he is on par with flash. Thor also is not as smart as superman and is easily made angry which clouds judgment. So Thor is weaker, slower, and dumber, it's no contest.
