The muscle around the mouth (upper and lower lips) is a sphincter but this sphincter action doesn't extend as much to the nasolabial folds. So Sculptra in nasolabial folds is less likely to cause nodule formation compared to upper and lower lip area.
It hasn’t been studied too much in this Patient population. I actually haven’t had any patients with Ehler Danlos get sculptra. Theoretically EDS patients probably wouldn’t respond as much. And they might have a higher risk of nodule formation.
Could you please suggest me sunscreen, moisturizer, serum& retinol available in US .normal skin 27 yrs female.i dont have much knowledge about skin care products

Thank your doctor! Do you ever see complications from hyperdilute radiesse, particularly in the neck? Like nodules or anything? Combining with prf is a great idea
I haven't had nodules in my patients but yes this is defn a risk of Radiesse in the neck. That's why I hyper dilute it and sometimes will only do PRF in the neck if the person's skin is very thin.

Hello Dr Swati, do you recommend if my upper cheek part is separating from inner cheek with a dent ( let's just say malar edema type) , would sculptra fill in that dent ?
Hi, it's hard to know that without a proper consultation and evaluation. I would recommend a consult with a cosmetic doc who does fillers and sculptra.
Great channel, great explanation. Thank you!!! 🙏 it’s much appreciated
Thank you!
Great video good explaining
Thank you!
Could you do a video on polynucleotides or meso eyes if you practice it.
Hi! I don't do PN around the eyes as it's not FDA approved here in the US.
could you explain about how using Sculptra in the nasolabial folds, but no using it around the mouth?
The muscle around the mouth (upper and lower lips) is a sphincter but this sphincter action doesn't extend as much to the nasolabial folds. So Sculptra in nasolabial folds is less likely to cause nodule formation compared to upper and lower lip area.
Is it normal if one side of the face is more swollen than the other after collagen stimulator injection ?
Temporarily, you can get more swelling if more sculptra is injected on one side over the other because we dilute the sculptra with water.
Can people with Ehlers Danlos have successful Sculptra treatments on the face?
It hasn’t been studied too much in this Patient population. I actually haven’t had any patients with Ehler Danlos get sculptra. Theoretically EDS patients probably wouldn’t respond as much. And they might have a higher risk of nodule formation.
