      It's an important step bro! I went 6 years under a different name, and had songs that were over 2million streams on Spotify, but there was no way I'd grow the brand because the name was so generic (It was "Spectrum", look up "Take You There" to find it)
      I relaunched under this name, and within the first two years i've had music placed on TV, Movies and radio. Don't be afraid! I can see how Quincy would hold you back when the biggest producer in music history is called Quincy lol 😭 keep grinding bro!

    The ‘week in advance’ pitch window to hit the release radar is actually a myth, I’ve been posting almost weekly all year on Spotify every Friday (midnight Thursday) and I’ve been running late to pitch several times, this week I pitched it 3 hours after it was released in my Timezone and it still made the release radar the same day … I’ts hard to keep up with weekly but it is a great way to learn the platforms nuances better 💯

    • @NateRoseMusic
      @NateRoseMusic 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not a myth. The week in advance guarantees that it hits all of your followers on the Friday release. That doesn't mean that if you don't pitch in advance that it won't hit *any of your followers release radar playlist.

    That was pretty interesting thank you. I’d be curious what @naterose actual revenue sources are.
    A few thousand views here and there on TH-cam obviously isn’t paying the bills.
    I haven’t researched his Spotify numbers. But if he is making all this money purely from Spotify I would be very curious as to how he grew that many listeners (which would have to a Fucking hell of a lot to pay for a normal life) . If so, Really just by Facebook and instagram ads? 🤯
    Or is the majority of your revenue coming from online merch sales. T shirts or whatever?

    My question is do you all have a video of whennnn an artist should start building their team ?
    What type of people would you need on your team? (Ex: managers, promoters, etc)
    Ex: You’re doing everything on your own and there’s no one around you who’s knows/are interested in the music business etc you’re making music, built your “label”/LLC as an independent artist and you’re really ready to push yourself out there

    • @NateRoseMusic
      @NateRoseMusic 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I did everything myself (cover artwork, producing, recording, mixing/mastering, design, marketing, managing, etc.) for a decade. This doesn't have to be the case for everyone.
      However, I'd make the case that it is important to have a good grasp on all the skillsets because that will help you choose the right team members and give them effective direction. Then once you start making a little bit of money, you can start outsourcing based on what will allow you to reclaim the most time.
      For me, the first thing I outsourced was the mixing/mastering. And the second thing was single covers. At the time, I was paying $250 for mix/master and $50 for single covers... I was able to afford $300 per song because I knew that within the year I would recoup off streams of that song and then it was pure profit. But the outsourcing increased my output and allowed me to reclaim time and put it towards other things that move the needle as well.

    Were living in an age where being nerdy and working the computer beats talent. Your music can be trash if you can manipulate the system you will be successful. Too bad success doesn't equal talent

    • @NateRoseMusic
      @NateRoseMusic 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not one or the other... if your product (music) is trash, you're not going to garner very many listeners despite your marketing efforts. If you make amazing music but don't know how to get other people to hear it, it's also not going to go very far. You need both to have the easiest pathway to a full-time career.

    • @Legato6669
      @Legato6669 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1) What’s wrong being nerdy? 2) “Working the computer” can very much lead you to having some talent. 3) Ever combined Zoom & Audiomovers to bring the experience of Moment House into movie theaters for a sold out audience? On average, tech savvy artists are more successful than those who complain & dwell on the past 🤦‍♂️

    • @NateRoseMusic
      @NateRoseMusic 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      A couple things to add to your comment:
      1.) Monthly listeners are not the same as streams... monthly listeners refer to unique people that have streamed at least 1 song in the past 28 days. If you are in a bunch of playlists you can run up "monthly listeners" but still not have people really listening to your music outside of the singular playlist playthrough.
      2.) As far as revenue goes, it depends on how much you own of the backend and what your business splits are like. I produce + write a lot of my own music, so I own the majority of my catalogue. How many of your listeners are from songs which you have master splits on? Do you have team members that take commission of gross revenue? Does your distributor take percentage? All these things play into the total revenue from streams.

      @@NateRoseMusic yeah your a streaming artist I can imagine how much money you left on the table.
      I also studied phycology and People only defend what they don't believe or something they don't understand. a lier will always have the need to prove it is real. But somone who is confident in what they say to be true will let people believe what they want to believe. Yet you defend streaming because you're lying 🤥. Just admit that you had a lot of time on your hand and you had money stacked up from your 9-5 and you didn't care about money as much as you cared about recognition.
      I dropped one video last month its first video. I plan on just making videos this year. Next year I will have my music on my own website for 1.00 per song. The web sight to my music will be under every TH-cam video... we will see where you at next in 3 years because nobody will actually pay for your music sorry. You have nothing valuable to support especially when the world craves good vybes right now..... you out of luck buddy 👋
      Next year you still gone be sending Spotify email and waiting for response.... fool... lier and you a corn ball 🤣
      good luck because music industry is changing and when it does, no one is putting money in your pot
      Because your music is nothing people will trade their energy (money) for
      Not to mention you're following the comment section to see what people say ..... how do you still have time for the comment section? On a vid that's not even your music
      It show what level you on about this,because if you was rely working hard you wouldn't care what people say in a comment section because you would have like minded people around you that you wouldn't even care what people say in a comment section
      And not to say that you not working hard but you working hard for free.... like wha?
      It just sucks for you because they told you Spotify and streaming was the way and it's going to be hard for you to get in these people pockets because they already trained you to grab attention and not money and the only thing that will make these people give you their money when that time comes is offering music of substance and that will be hard for you especially after displaying yourself as a "Man child" good luck tho
