This is the second Acid Jam record issued on his Woronzow label by Nick Saloman, a.k.a. The Bevis Frond. "Change In The Weather" features Nick, Paul Simmons (guitar) Ade Shaw bass) and others. Mr. Shaw and Mr. Simmons are part of the currnt touring and recording Bevis Frond. Check out The Bevis Frond on bandcamp.com, which offers Nick's many albums (26 or so, including groups not Bevis Frond) in one easy-to-access location. Or buy vinyl or CD's. His back catalogue is being reissued as of mid 2016, so I hope all albums will again be available in vinyl or CD, as well as there being ongoing availability for downloading in any sort of digital format from Bandcamp. His solo albums include fun and excellent rocker The Fred Bison Five (all Nick, the multi instrumentalist). Groups include Room 13, whose 'Peaceful War' album is good. The most recent Bevis Frond release is titled Example 22, a fine fine place to get introduced to the miraculous songwriting, guitar heroics, and arranging talent of Mr. Saloman. There is a compilation of earlier songs titled High In A Flat which will give a flavor of the breadth of his songwriting and guitaring. His last several albums (The Leaving Of London, White Numbers) have been recorded with his studio and touring band. Several of his earliest albums were all Nick, or Nick plus drummer Martin Crowley. The current band includes Paul Simmons on guitar, longtime associate Adrian Shaw on bass, and Dave Pearce on drums. On records, Bari Watts is occasionally featured in Hendrixian splendor.
