The grow light I use to sunstress my Hoya in the greenhouse is the Mars Hydro SP150 a.co/d/iYof7R7
That’s the same light I have an some of my Hoyas are RED. I saw irl today the Alocasia Jacklyn!!! OMGosh leaves the size of my head an one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen!! Dark an light green covered in hairs, I love it!! 😍💚💚
My Hoya love my north facing window strangely! I was super shocked by it. But all of them are blooming and growing like crazy. But yes, I do have them right in the window!
Its totally possible!! Glad they're happy! ☺
Mine are 13 ft away from north window. Buuuut have grow lights. So far, loving it. Cnt wait to see wat they do this spring an summer! Krimson princess is turning more pink. Had her the longest. Love it!
They for sure thrive with grow lights!
Your videos help me more than you know. I learn so much from you. Thank you ❤️
That makes me happy ☺
My house only has windows facing South or North. My hoyas seem happy about 3’ away from the south windows, and get a bit of sun stressing. Right now in the summer the sun is high enough that no sunbeams actually touch them, but in the winter it will come in more so I’ll adjust as needed, but hopefully with the weaker winter sun they will be fine with some direct sun!
Thanks for the great tips ! I've got mine in a south facing window & they get full sun til about noonish. And they seem to be thriving 😁
Love your quirkiness you're great ❤️
I'm sure they love that light!! And I'm glad you like my weird/awkward self 😜
I have a sunrise I imported about a month ago and I'm slowly acclimating it but it decided to lose all its roots lol so now I'm rerooting her. Hope she roots for me! Thanks for your tips Jackie! ❤️
That's totally normal for imports! No stress!!
Girl. Thx for the directional breakdown. I needed that lesson. 🌿💚
Always happy to help where I can 😊
You are hilarious, love your quirkiness!!! I have to review your hoya segments since I'm still very new to them and now have quite a few 😂😂 Thanks
Glad you liked my chicken dance 😅
My plant room has only one North-facing window. Alas! So I have grow lights. And I have new lights to install tomorrow and change up my room a bit. I think my plants will benefit!
I'm sure it will look great ☺
Here's a couple things I found living north of 60⁰. Due to the angle of the sun, I almost need to put them directly in my south window. I also need to supplement light because the daytime goes down to 5 hours. Even in summer, the light isn't very strong. Lol, even during summer I couldn't get my sunrise to sunstress. 19 Hoyas now, love every one of them.
Love your videos, love your energy. Have an awesome day.
Love from northern Canada ❤️
That's fascinating! Thank you for sharing! I'm glad you love your Hoya!! I hope you have a great week!! ☺
I love Hoyas. I’m definitely still getting use to caring for some of them. So far things are going good. Only a few casualties.
I love your earrings and your skin always looks amazing.
My skin is trash 😅 good lighting goes a long way though!! 😉 the new earrings are definitely cute, I'm not mad about them lol, just wish they'd stay in my ears! 😋
@@jaclynns.jungle Stop it! From what I’m seeing it’s looking like your skincare routine is on point. Basically what I’m saying is you’re beautiful! We are our own worst critics.
Ohhhhh your at 9.99 thousand subscribers! 💚💚💚👏 Thanks for all the hoya help 👍🌱
So close!! ☺
Hi Jaclynn, I must admit I never understood the hoya obsession..... today I got a Linearis and a Rosita in a mystery cuttings box and now I've seen and felt them in person I get it 🤣 the Rosita especially is STUNNING and I'm worried I might have another genus that I'm going to be obsessed with!
This makes me so happy ☺
I have all southwest-facing windows. All of of my plants are near the windows. The sun is higher in the summer so I don't get direct sun but in the winter I get direct sun. My plants that are supposed to go dormant in the winter actually do their growth spirt in the winter. My ZZ plants have several stalks on each plant, I have 5 of them.
Same thing happened at my mom's! My plants thrived in winter because the sun was less blocked by the trees! 😊
I love my sun stress on my sunrise it’s gorgeous but I sun stressed my caudata Sumatra and I’m not too crazy about it. The pubicalax is beautiful with the pink on it also.
Sun stress is definitely not for everyone and every Hoya! Thankfully it's not permanent 😊
My hubby needs to finish putting up all my grow lights.. my Hoyas are among the ones that have not yet gotten their light.
They will love more light!
That was lit! Pun intended 💚😎💚
Haha!!
🤗❤💚☘🍀🌱🌵🌾🌿Hugs adorable plant fam. A song to match this subject soak up the sun sheryl crow
Hi Jaclynn, in your opinion which Hoyas are prettiest when they’re sunstressed? And thx for the info about the splashy Hoya. The splash on my publicalyx is pink - I didn’t know WTH was going on with it.
Some I have that look nice sunstressed are the burtoniae, sunrise, obscura, rebecca, merrillii, quinquenervia, surgaoensis, collina, walliniaina, waymaniae, burmanica, gunung gading ..... ummmmm yea there's lots more but those are some that I have!! ☺🥰
What are some Hoya varieties that you would recommend putting in East facing light?
Anything green would be fine! Variegated plants need more light.
Great video thank you
HOYA!!!!!!
😊
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
How long did it take your hoya sunrise to sunstressed? My windows are south west but my windows are low E triple panels or pain windows.
Not very long! A few weeks under a strong light and it was RED! ❤
If you can see the light source, that's direct light. If you see light but not the actual source, that's indirect.
That's a great way to put it!!
Just to let you know that your intro is switched with your ending on the past couple of vlogs 😊
Lmao, I was just seeing if you were paying attention 😅
@@jaclynns.jungle 😂
I don’t even have Hoyas lol
That's unfortunate
Bubble head
Very informative. 😁 I have a pubicalyx (that is what you told me it is, so I believe it!) that had one splashy leaf. 2nd one came in all green. I was thinking it was like a variegated plant, needing bright light -- now that I know, I will give it less light. Is the existing leaf able to get splashy? Or is it doomed to live out it's existence solid green?🪴
I'm glad you love your Hoya!! The new leaf unfortunately won't get spalshier, but new growth absolutely can with a bit less light! If it keeps happening just cut it and start a new growth point on the plant ☺
