    I was going back to watch some of your older videos. I like this tent. Great job with the review. Hope all is well. Crow✌️

      Thank you so much! It’s by far exceeded my expectations as a shelter. I can add that Six Moon Designs backs up their products. I had some zipper pull issues on the Highline. I sent it to them in the fall after my trip, and they put new zipper pulls on it and shipped it back for under $20. I’ve been a little under the weather the last week, but I’m on the mend and should be back out there soon. Your channel has kept me entertained while I’ve been convalescing. Thanks again and have a great weekend! 🙏

      Thank you! I got this for the Highline as I wanted a quick shelter incase weather came in. But after doing a full season in it I couldn’t imagine sleeping in anything else out there!

      Thank you so much! I’ve backpacked with a single trekking pole for decades, so it made sense that I tried this one out. It’s really roomy, easy set up, and is just over a pound. I bought it for this year’s Highline shenanigans. Last year was just a test run for it. I’m confident in it now to take it on the Highline! Hope you are well, I’ve been watching your videos the last couple of days!

    thinking about buying this tent, but still a bit concerned about condensation inside. What is your experience with that?

    • @ChristianPaulPhotography
      @ChristianPaulPhotography  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As with all single wall tents condensation is something that happens. It was never so bad that it has ruined a trip. If you have a clear night open both doors and that helps a lot! I have a small micro fiber towel I use if it ever get a that bad and have only used that 2 or 3 times in three seasons. I imagine really humid areas it probably would condensate. But for alpine use here in the Rockies it’s been much less than I expected from my previous experience with single wall tents. It does have a peak vent that really does move the air out as well. I think the most important thing to know about the lunar solo the better your pitch, the better the ventilation is. Thank you for your question! If you have anything else you’d like to know, please let me know! Thanks for watching! 🥾

    Why is the fly so high?

    • @ChristianPaulPhotography
      @ChristianPaulPhotography  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the question! I can shorten the tie lines and put it closer to the ground, but I like to see outside while I’m in there hence why it looks high. Thanks for watching! Have a great weekend!

    How tall of a trekking pole do you use? 125cm?

    • @ChristianPaulPhotography
      @ChristianPaulPhotography  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello! Thanks for your question. Yes you are correct, it is 49” or 125 cm for your pole height. It’s on its third full season, two thru hikes, and it’s still solid. Best single wall tent I’ve ever owned. Thanks for checking out my channel!

      @@ChristianPaulPhotographythank you!! Just ordered mine. Really looking forward to using it this summer! Is it possible to shorten the trekking pole I will be using and stake the tent out further in bad weather?

    • @ChristianPaulPhotography
      @ChristianPaulPhotography  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@isaacwall5324 You don't need to do that. It has a rather large vestibule. Pitch it a few times in the yard is my best advice for using this tent. Think of lining up the geometry of the tent when you stake it out. Tell them you saw it on my channel! Let me know if you have any questions.

    Great review Christian. I'm ready for backpacking season. Are you still doing the Highline this year?

    • @ChristianPaulPhotography
      @ChristianPaulPhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Dustin! I've had a number of "What do you use" emails so I thought I'd share some of the gear I use.
      Yes, tentatively the Highline is on the schedule! Steve Packs-a-lot has thrown out a invitation to go . I am pretty much ready minus food. My buddy Jim is supposed to go too. Chepeta to Hwy 150 was the plan. I'm not getting any younger so I probably should get after it before I hit my expiration date! Haha! Hope you are well my friend!

    My biggest concern is being able to drive stakes in compacted ground, or the stakes holding in loose ground.
    So I bought some sand/snow stakes for loose and will use an object to hammer the stakes in compact.
    My biggest reason for buying it was lightness and wind resistance.
    I'm using it for bicycle touring.

    • @ChristianPaulPhotography
      @ChristianPaulPhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are legit concerns. I bought some titanium stakes for mine to go as light as possible. The Uintas are very rocky and have hard soils to stake into. I was fortunate this past summer to not have any problems in that department. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

    • @HuckOutdoors
      @HuckOutdoors 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I've also tied mine off with rocks before in areas where we could not use stakes.
