    Agree with the comment about being able to stake down the tent floor a bit better. Otherwise seems like an Ideal tent.

      Yeah... Its kinda strange how the floor is almost free floating like that. That's said, it hasn't caused me any issues yet. But... would like to see that changed. Of course, that would probably add weight. Give and take right!

      Your are absolutely right though.... Six Moons did a great job on the Lunar Duo!

      @@BackwoodsPursuit I suppose a person could put a rock in each corner to help keep it from shifting.

    • @BackwoodsPursuit
      @BackwoodsPursuit  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah.... That would work. Possibly some heavier duty elastic in each corner to keep it tight would work too.

    Looks really nice! I think this one is my favorite of the ones you have reviewed so far.

      It's a sweet tent! Definitely one of my favorites as well! Thanks for the feedback!

    Love this tent! It's pretty incredible for a sub 3lb, 2 person tent that has plenty of room for 2!

    Great video! Seems like a great value ultralight tent. You sold me! Thanks for sharing.

      Thanks man! Yeah...I really like this tent. It's tough to find anything with as much room at that weight, with all the features it has and doesn't break the bank! It's a great value for sure! It's money if you want to share with a buddy/spouse or just want tons of room for yourself!! Enjoy!

    Dumb question… can I skip the support poles that comes with the tent? The upper cross supports? I’m short and don’t see the need for them. Plus it cuts weight.

      Hey there! I think you probably could...it might pitch a little funny, but would be fine. Thanks for watching!

    Try running the vestibule guy lines through the vent at the top. That way the line won’t get in the way of closing vestibule doors.

      Thanks for the tip! I'll have to give that a try next time.

      It really is! Great for those who like extra room and/or taller folks while still very lightweight!

    Hi, thanks for the great review. I am seriously looking at this tent to buy. Just one question; the two small loop poles that slide in the roof section to make the arch; do they come with the tent or are they an optional extra? I live in the uk 🇬🇧 so want to ensure I order everything at one go to avoid delays and extra shipping charges. Many thanks. Simon.

    • @BackwoodsPursuit
      @BackwoodsPursuit  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey there! Thanks for watching and the question. Yes, those two arch poles that slide in to increase head room do come with the tent! The carbon or aluminum poles do not as you use trekking poles instead as noted, but if you prefer not to use trekking poles, you can add in those carbon or aluminum poles. I'd also recommend having them seam seal it unless you are comfortable doing that yourself. Either way, it'll need to be seam sealed.
      Thanks again for watching! Use that link in the description to pick any of that up and tell them we sent you! Take care.

    No real bathtub so I wonder how well this does if it gets wet and you are unlucky enough to have a stream running under your tent. otherwise looks really good.

    • @BackwoodsPursuit
      @BackwoodsPursuit  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Philip Jessup that's correct....the floor isn't a true bathtub floor, but I think you'd be find in most cases as there is a small lip on the floor. It's possible I suppose if you had a river flowing through that water could make it over the lip though. There is enough coverage from the large vestibules and overhang at the head and foot of the tent that it keeps water away from the interior. Thanks for watching!

      @Philip Jessup, I was referred to this tent because I am 6'5" and the length of this tent is outstanding. My only concern is that i'll only be able to use this when it's nice outside. I cant see this tent standing up to any storms heavy wind. Great fairweather then though.
