Iunno, At times I think that fitness personalities are trying to jump in early on an emerging training niche so that they can claim to be the authority/pioneer on something.
Fr, like how Bret Contreras has the title of Glute Guy, it sometimes feels as if some folk are trying to grab dibs on being the lengthened partial guru. It’s like the “weighted stretch” era is back again
Yeah that is true. when I hear long length partials I think Milo Wolf, when I hear MYO reps i think Mike Israetel. Imo it's all pretty over hyped. I personally will focus on the muscle length to an extent but I don't count a rep unless I am able to complete full ROM.
Would prioritize exercises that train longer muscle length or generate greater tension? Obviously not excluding either, just prioritizing one over the other
I think ROM can be considered important to an extent. I will favor long lengths on a lot of things but i dont make it the end all be all. I do personally believe in things like targeting different parts of the muscle. Which, i know, sounds like total bro science but I think a preacher curl will cause a ton of muscle growth and will favor the lower bicep. Opposite effect for something like a spidercurl or an incline curl.
part of me likes the science....the other part has to default back to whatever Arnold did lol. If Arnold felt that concentration curls were worth doing, then they are worth doing
Nice one.
More time on screen with the studies header + exercise demos would be top notch.

True. They are selling a product, and differentiation is an important marketing strategy.

the latest greatest thing. What was it last time...MYO Reps?

Peak contraction Vs peak stretch
any studies on how to get a jaw like yours?!
get his parents
Great video my dude
Magic muscle math 😅
"Stretch induced hypertrophy" seems to be a new thing as well. Just train all ranges to keep variety.
