SAVE A CAN Fix Damaged Aerosol Cans

Step 1
Set broken can upright, grab safety glasses and discharge test bowl, use gloves if necessary depending on aerosol type.
Step 2
Make sure a minimum of 3.5 mm is of can stem is still coming out of can top.
Step 3
Make sure that the remaining stem is flat, if stem is cockeyed use p320 grit sandpaper or file to make stem flat and smooth.
Step 4
Screw top in with thumb over spray hole making sure can stem is flush with where Save A Can threads terminate, sometimes fine needle nose pliers help.
Step 5
Test spray in bowl if head has minor leaking, repeat steps 1-4 if it will not seal or sprays continuously do not use with that can .
Step 6
If can works don’t forget to clean repair tip by spraying solvent like carb cleaner or starting fluid through straw hole.

I have 3 tall cans of white gloss I didn't know why I was keeping. Whenever I came across them, it just hacked me off. Now I know why I was putting myself through the frustration. Thank you for the mental mood salvation.

I was really hoping that your video will be DIY 🥺 LIKE SOMETHING WE ALREADY HAD AT HOME LOL unfortunately I've broken three cans of brand new Lysol and I refuse to throw them away two of the cans are from last year and I literally just broke a new one yesterday 🤦🏾♀️😩 thank you for your video because honestly I'm not going to lie I wasn't even expecting anyone to make a video with this type of problem and I'm glad you did I'm going to do a little bit more research hopefully someone has a DIY I'm here that I'll be able to use their method lol 🤗

I got no response from them either way. Also found online complaints of buying the item but never receiving it. I don't want to spend money as a test to find out if they'll send me one or not.

What if the plastic pipe in the can falls off? I have the spray head but the little valve through which the paint goes through fell out somehow and I lost it. Can I just pull out and use a the plastic valve from every day spray deodorants?

Got the You Can online and the stock tip that came with it doesn't work for me and doesn't even have a stem on it had a fat cap but no stem on the cap or the can.

Does anyone know if their are any similar products as the save a can? I think they stopped selling them because the reviews just say seller doesnt respond
These are very easily damaged. Mine broke simply by removing the cap from the can and the side load on the very tiny neck that goes inside the plastic of the broken valve nozzle. Not recommended.
I tried to buy this save a can on e-bay on but the seller never responded so I am going to try to get my money back. I don't think they sale them anymore.

How can we tell which version of the can we have that is broken? If it’s a pull out I can screw a screw in and just pull it out and put a new spray tip in… but if it’s built into the can and broken this save a can would be nice to have.
Just a heads up. They took my money and then ghosted me after ordering a few weeks ago. I had to go through my bank to get the money back. If you try to contact them through the website, you can see that their submit button for their form is completely hidden. Maybe they might have once worked but now it seems like a scam.

You serious? Oh hell nah and I'm over here skeptical about buying because it seems like a scam. Not to mention that when I click the order now box, I had adult ads pop up which clearly are scam advertisements.

He's referring to the nozzle, which is likely free machining brass that may leach a very tiny amount of lead.
I see no link nor website for the nozzle listed below .

I bought this for a brand new can of cooking spray and for some reason, it did not work. It was on correctly. Just dribbled out.
Must have been something wrong with the can because there's not really much that can go wrong with the nozzle. Does the can still have air pressure?
Possibly the stem isn't going down enough.
Good video, and Its a great idea, but the price is too high. after taxes and shipping their wanting $18 plus, If it was cheaper and they added a paypal way of buying it, I would have. Just too high, cheaper to go and buy another can of what ever you dropped. Now before you go off and say well its reusable, yep I get that, but how often are you going to drop your cans?
