The brass quartet was so amazing and sounded so heart warming ❤❤

Here's what I really like about this band: First, they are one of the smallest 6A Bands to compete, with just over 200 members. Vandergrift who placed 1st has well over 400 members. But this Marcus band holds their own. Secondly, I like that they have stuck with the classic band uniform. They don't rely on pretty, flashy uniforms to get points, it's just straight up marching and musicianship. It's a Marching competition and they do it really well.(That's not being negative toward any band that does have the flashy uniforms, it's just not what I personally feel they should be judged on. But every person in ALL of these bands work hard to get to this point and they should be extremely proud of themselves.) Back to this Marcus band: In my opinion, their ballad section was amazing with the brass quartet and the horns coming in right after that. It gave me goosebumps it was so good. The percussion performance, hands down, the best. You aren't going to touch them, that's how good they are. Keep an eye on this band, because they are going to be a serious contender for the State Championship in the next few years.

Yeah we are pretty small 229 all in all, also I am pretty sure we are 6 time state champs from previous years

I just feel like musically the band needs more than one volume and the music would have really popped. There’s not much difference in the crescendos. Well except for in the pit. They did pretty well.

That’s like asking for ketchup in a Parisian cafe

not everyone band has 400 members, they sound incredible for being the smallest 6A band at UIL state
