Powerful sounds like these have always been something fascinating and stimulating to me and my senses. I've seen so many people say they were terrified of it as kids, but I always awaited the THX introductions with great anticipation whenever starting a movie.
THX has been established great ultra sound speakers even remastering movies for decades even it’s celebrating the 40th Anniversary since 1983. Wow, what an accomplishment in sound. Great job, Lucasfilm.
Fun fact for those that wish to check (like I did): If you own a 2003 DVD copy of Finding Nemo, and play the movie off of disc two, it plays the first Tex trailer. But the team at Disney didn't edit the trailer in any way from the theatrical print of the trailer, so it still has the byline of "Sound System" along the bottom of the logo. I never realized it as a kid, but in watching it again I noticed it and found it interesting.
And what's also interesting that they had two different THX trailers for each disc, one trailer with the cow can for disc 1 and Tex repairing the THX logo for disc 2.
Is it really a mistake?? I always thought it was more of a generalization of THX as a subsidiary Sound System company of Lucasfilm rather than the exact system producing the cinema sound.. my Cars DVD from 2006 has the same trailer with the same byline at the bottom that’s why I’m curious

That's how I am! And that's why I find this logo's history to be so stunningly, incredibly beautiful! Making movies come alive for almost 40 years now! 12:14 This specific logo at max volume in my earplugs gives me so much happiness!!! (You guys might think I'm crazy.)

If Dolby is all around us, then Razer should recognize this and have THX partner with them again. Would increase the popularity of THX and would make for some interesting trailers. The THX logo, with the tagline, "If It's Dolby, Then the Audience Will Listen", and the Double-D design tucked in there for extra measure, would make for some visually appealing chills, if the Deep Note wasn't enough.
This is gonna sound extremely dumb but when i was ages 3-7, i was terrified of the THX logo to the point where i thought if you didnt run away and hide under/behind something, then you’d get shot thru the TV and die. I remember having friends over and convinced everyone of this and so when we put a movie on, everyone bolts in different directions. I only stopped believing this after my babysitter had to prove to my brother and i that if she stayed in front of the TV, that she wouldnt get shot (obviously).

It's said that it has appeared in the DVD version of The Matrix, but even the CLG Wiki disproved that quickly stating that it was fake, and was not seen on The Matrix as that movie was not THX Certified, the LaserDisc version of Tex was believed to be fake for years until youtubers did LaserDisc openings of the film proving that it does exist, and is the only LaserDisc version to have Tex.
So this will sound weird but apparently there were two videogames that has the THX trailer for some unknown reason: one of the Soul Calibur games and Scarface:The World Is Yours.
In fact, None of this is accuate! The Simpsons version should be on here, and it's right after Grand, it ain't fake, Tex 3: Action is missing completely, Bounty is nowhere to be seen, Sphere isn't around at all, and Musical Wisps is lost! And there are 2 logos that are placed in the extra section, the Horton one and the Shrek one, the Broadway 3D logo is it's own logo itself despite having the Broadway name in it and it's somehow shoved with Broadway, they are part of the history right, this person isn't following what the CLG Wiki is saying about the logo, it's completely inaccuate!

Actually, the Cavalcade logo debuted in 2001. But the Terminator 2 logo DID debut in 2000 on the Ultimate Edition DVD of that film.

i was scared of the logo too when i was little. i would always hide under the blankets and mute that part when it comes on.
