In the time of the worldwide stress due to the danger of virus disrupting and threatening lives and livelihoods, it is good to be reminded of what life can be like in NORMAL time that we can experience such JOY and connecting with fellow human beings.
It is good to remember the BETTER in the past, hopefully, comes soon in the future.

    You nailed it dan ❤

That ecstatic dance most certainly is a facet of Sufism, and in the mystic practices of many other traditions. Who can say what is in the heart of every person there? But the chant and dance is a form of zikr, remembrance of the One, a core part of Sufism.

"Sufism is the spiritual branch of Islam" - no it is not - and no amount of repeating the same rubbish is going to make it so. The only other ones impressed by it are the demented hippy type kuffar who just happened to fall into it and think is is 'enlightening' or 'redeeming' or 'inspiring' - when only last week they were playing at being Buddhist or Hindu or whatever on their own little journey of personal discovery. You can enjoy it all you like, with all the others who enjoy it - you can also refer to it as you like, or call it whatever you want - but it has NOTHING to do with Islam - it is shirk.
