In this video I show a Soviet semi-automatic rifle - SVT-40 (samozarYAdnaya vintOvka tOkareva (Tokarev's self loading rifle). It's chambered in 7,62x54R and feeds from 10-round detachable box magazines.
This particular one is the late production (1944) variant - AVT-40.
The AVT-40 has some minor differences from the SVT-40, such as a bit thicker stock and a safety lever/fire selector able flip to the right side for the F.A. mode.

SVT weighs around 4kg fully loaded without the bayonet, roughly the same as the 91/30 but more firepower. It was probably the best semi auto of the war with the second spot being the M1 garand.
