Hario Switch 3 Pour Recipe (First Pour Immersion)

  • I am curious about the impact on flavor when using Hario Switch and employing the immersion method at different stages of pouring.
    Using Hario Switch, with a fixed coffee dose of 12g, total water amount of 200g, and water temperature at 90 degrees. I plan to experiment three times, each time pouring water three times, and selectively closing the valve at the first, second, and third pours while keeping the valve open for the remaining stages. The immersion stage involves a water amount of 120g, with the other two stages having 40g each.
    The water ratios are as follows:
    First stage immersion 3:1:1 ( • Hario Switch 三段式沖法(前段浸泡) )
    Middle stage immersion 1:3:1 ( • Hario Switch 三段式沖法(中段浸泡) )
    Final stage immersion 1:1:3 ( • Hario Switch 三段式沖法(後段浸泡) )

    The result of the first stage immersion is that it has a fruity acidity and grape aroma, but overall, the concentration is somewhat light.
