Thanks for the vid! I'm debating between prius and niro hybrid. Saw so many prius car camping videos, and haven't seen much Niro. Niro's interior space is definitely more comfortable, but not sure if it is as reliable as a toyota prius.

So far we have been pretty happy with it. I can't speak to how it really compares to the prius but we like having more space.

What are the dimensions of the board you use under the head of your mattress?

Dimensions are in the Reddit post listed in the description. I just did the same thing but with wood and cord.

Can you describe how comfortable this is? Any solutions to running the climate control overnight?

I would say it's as comfortable as whatever mattress or pad you use. We have not had any problems with the "hump" caused by putting the seats down that people experience with other cars. With this sleep arrangement your torso is mostly on the back seat and your shoulders and head are mostly on the board. I have heard you can run the car overnight with the air running, but we have not done that.

@@RideorDieGaM ok, i actually own a niro and have only tried sleeping on my lunch break in the front seats and kept getting disturbed by the engine turning on to charge the battery. At 6' if I cant lay comfortably in the back without my head needing to be on top of the center armrest.

      @@ticenits1926 earplugs? Would they help?

@@cargilb possibly, i have some airpod pros with noise cancellation. Problem for me is when I roll on my side I can feel earplugs get rammed into my ear canal from the weight of my face on the pillow. Maybe if I sleep with my head at the rear and my feet towards the front it wont be so bad. Or perhaps install a battery operated white noise machine/fan. The engine startup and run is pretty quiet, and only takes like a minute to charge up the battery for another 15 minutes of runtime.
