Typed it in manually and finally realized that after the 'k' it's space then dash dash..... If that makes sense. Don't know if any of this will help you. I believe mine was locked to Tmobile so maybe you have a different carrier that makes it harder to unlock.

@@rayenseah not yet, I just use it in a temporary way, reset the phone completely and then just make sure while connecting any wifi, you gotta turn on "treat as metered" befor eentering pass. It's working for me until I accidently connected a wifi without making it metered, then I've to reset to use sim again

Step 1 - Take out sim card, then do a factory reset.
That is what "WIPED" means.
