I definitely have more memories with MNIMN, so I listen to it more often, but as a project Daytona is damn near flawless and I consider it Push’s best project
I love how the dad is always trying to discuss stuff during the song that he hears and the son just straight up ignores him every time. Barely gives him the side eye. lol
Something to note for ya pops: A singer's defining tool is their voice, a rapper's defining tool is their mind. A rapper's vocal's, delivery, and cadence matter too, but none of that matter's till they have the words. A singer can sing fa-da-la-la-la and convince you of their talent, but a rapper spitting Gucci Gang for 4 mins will get no respect.
naah vocals, good beat selection and delivery are the most important as a whole artist, it don’t matter if u ain’t saying a lot, as long as u make it sound pleasant and good it can work, but if someone is spitting some good shit but with a mid voice or a bad production it will not be enough, just my opinion tho
@@makeit0pium599 Valuing rap based off of lyrics alone would be pure hiphop if I'm correct. Taking account for flow, beats, and vocals may be approaching the subgenre territory.
@@fluffyheffalump yea i get ur point, but at the end hip hop is a form of expression and i don’t feel like u can just narrow it to lyrics, since it involves a lot of different musical influences, so i definitely feel like lyrics alone don’t represent hip hop as a whole
Except lyrical rappers and trap rappers both have their place and time. No one wants to hear Rap God by Eminem or anything by Joyner Lucas when the top is down on a Friday night and everyone’s having a good time. People want ignorant shit at times, that’s why it sells.
It kind of fascinates me how people receive rap. Especially when it isn't their background. The sign of good music is that it gives almost everyone something to enjoy. Pops caught NO bars, but he'll break down the music though 😂😂😂
Pusha T and birdman beef goes wayyy back to what happen to that boy And birdman was moving funny Then lil wayne jumped in then drake And drake and Pusha were throwing subliminals back and forth for quite some time
Broooo I love your videos, but you forgot to mention the album cover of the album, in case you didn’t know that was a picture of the bathroom where Whitney Houston was found death in the bathtub, Kanye bought the picture and decided to use it as album cover for pusha t album. Fun fact of the day
it would be cool if you'd explore some stuff that's before junior's time, like Kool G Rap & DJ Polo, Eric B & Rakim, Slick Rick & Dougie Fresh, Treacherous Three, Queen Latifah etc
This album is so fye coming from a Drake fan this is easily Pushas best hopefully you do Its Almost Dry or Scorpion next goated channel I HOPE YOU GUYS BLOW UP
Funny story about this album is pusha had one ready to go. And at the last min Kanye said let’s scrap it. I wanna do a seven song album no fluff just beats and bars. And it worked out. Lol. BTW drake can rap his ass off be soft as hell. Lol. He not lifting a finger. But he does have connections wit people that look out for him, J Prince mainly. Prince saved him from Kanye and meek mill. Puff smacked drake and he didn’t do a thing. And it’s a story that one of TI homies actually peed on drake. He not a street dude at all.
@11:10 pretty sure a real one will know the statute of limitations of whatever they're rapping about. I believe Fat Joe caught a case off of his rap early on and the rap game collectively learned the lesson.
Malice is the older brother. Push smoked Aubrey. It wasn't a contest. If a cat calls your mom a loser and your pops a deadbeat....but you don't respond, you're a sucka
Now we need to see duppy freestyle vs the story of adidon. That would be a dope video
We all know who won that lmfao
That synchronized head bop to “come back baby” was everything
Ye smoked every beat on this one. And Push did what he does.
Hell yeah, hope we get to see his newest album It's Almost Dry (Pharrell vs. Ye) next!
Yes! Definitely need to do It’s almost dry!
Love this album, thanks for the reaction. Wishing you and pops nothing but success, wealth, and health. All love
Pusha T & Malice aren’t twins they’re 4 years apart Malice the oldest
damn i never understood. i thought malice was like an alter ego
lmfao wild
@@MrJake9998 Lmao what
@@MrJake9998 😂
@@MrJake9998 wait so who did you think the other guy on the Clipse album covers was?
The beef didn’t start with Pusha and Drake. It started with Wayne/Birdman vs. Clipse. And Pusha won hands down.
pops gotta hear kids see ghosts next for sure!
I definitely have more memories with MNIMN, so I listen to it more often, but as a project Daytona is damn near flawless and I consider it Push’s best project
Great reaction! Got to do It’s Almost Dry next! 💯🔥
GOATed album
Tell Pops "Baby Come Back" is not a Hall & Oates song. It's a band call "Player".

Perfectly said

Good ear on that sample pops.

Pusha was unstoppable when his projects were overseen by Kanye. Too bad he turned out to be a Judas. It's safe to say that Daytona is a classic album
