  • @keylargo2001
    @keylargo2001 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I don't know about your winters when you get snow or a storm. But here on Cape Cod when we get a winter storm it's associated with high winds. If you get winds like we do. Do you run a length of rope across the middle to help keep the curtain from turning into a balloon? That storm we had last week was a hum dinger. It had 70-100 mph winds. It caused a lot of tree damage and power outages. What's ironic about that storm is that it fell on the 30th anniversary of The Perfect storm.

    • @acresofclayhomestead
      @acresofclayhomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Ya'll always make dairy farming very educational and entertaining!🐄🐄🐂👍👀...Survival on thin margins...like reusing/moving the upper curtain to the other side of the barn must have met with the cows approval...as they seemed to start voicing their app"mooo"val when you told us the plan....lol...I'm sure they'll enjoy having those winds/snow kept out of their "house" for the winter!
    Kevin, Ronda and family... a Thank Ya'll, as always, for dairy farmin' and feedin'! Keep on keepin' on.....👀🤠🐄🐄🐄🚜🌄🍨🥛🍶🍦👍

    Why you use plastic curtains? Again with the plastics in the USA. You guys sure are behind on environmental friendly materials. In Europe we use natural products or, even better, old trailer curtains. They have steel wires inside them and can stand the strong ocean winds here in The Netherlands.
    Also: hennep is a great material, strong vibers/fibers.
    Nice barn, made of wood and metal walls, all recycleble (excuse spelling), and the plastic curtains?!? I don't get it...
