Actually you CAN do steampunk if you ever read the "Hearts Of Steel" story where some of the Autobots and Decepticons are woken up at the time of the Industrial Revolution like bi-plane Starscream. You can also do midevil by having them have organic beast modes like in Beast Wars. Also there's an adventure book coming out called "The Time Is Now"
I have the game. I haven't played it yet. Currently going through GI Joe RPG and I played power rangers RPG. Transformers RPG is next and excited about it! Been a fan of them since I was a kid! Hoping to get the field guide to action and adventure from renegade games to combine all three rule books!
I love there being an offical book about crossover adventures and rules for mixing stuff together. Honestly the only thing I don't like is that they just handwave the damage/health values being the same between all 3 RPGs despite the kinda obvious "how/why does a GI Joe's handgun even scratch a Cybertronian? And likewise a Cybertronian weapon only deals as much damage to a human as it does to other Cybertronians." I feel like that has to get a house rule, even if it's something like "Cybertronian health and damage values get multiplied by 2"
I'm late to the party, but I have a couple of friends who are going to join me and give the included adventure a shot in a couple of weeks. I'll have to let you know how it goes!
I recently ran the short scenario at where end of the Power Rangers core book by Renegade. Aside from some minor grievances (and grammatical errors), my friends and I genuinely enjoyed it.
As a wrestler let me tell you that arthritis kicking in is the main reason we don't send each other to the ER every single night. It sucks when you're an adventurer, but when you're a wrestler you'll be thanking Thrraagh'zz'ravooo'ulhghan Ssav'aandee, the Sky-Fall Elbow of Infinite Impact (known on some planes of existence as Randy Savage), that the other guy or gal has arthritis too.

I'm trying to get people interested and hope that I can find some players at the local comic shop. Unfortunately, with temperatures over 100, I don't feel like going outside...at all...period.
@@mirrortwins9694 Thanks, hope so too. Btw, are you going to do or have you done a reaction to the Crossover Sourcebook? Supposedly you can now run characters from Power Rangers, G.I. Joe, AND Transformers as part of one big adventure! Haven't gotten it yet, but I will just to look at what they've come up with.
Where was this back in 1986? Might've saved me a lot of work.
I know, right?!
@@mirrortwins9694 You'd think a franchise with so many incarnations from TV, movies, games, and comics there would be an RPG at some point!

Sweet! I’ve seen Hearts of Steel, but never read it. Thanks for the comment! Happy gaming!

Yeah, Kyle really wants to try the My Little Pony one.

I had no idea that was Randy Savages proper name! Yeah, arthritis is no joke!
good stuff
Thank you!
This is great system.. I haven't got to play my first game of it.. my kids haven't finished thier characters yet.. it takes so long to make them..
Yes it does! That’s great to hear you play together as a family! I hope you enjoy your game!

That sounds AWESOME! I’ll ask Kyle if he was aware of this. I’ll pitch the idea of doing a reaction video about it. Thanks for the suggestion!
