3 years now I’ve been making your Mac & cheese for my family all year long! Best recipe I’ve found to date! My variations...I use 2 lbs of noodles, 16 oz shredded mild cheddar, 8 oz shredded mozzarella, 8 oz shredded velveeta, 8 oz shredded Gouda. All other ingredients I keep the same amounts as she says (2 eggs, 1/2 cup sour cream, 8 oz cream cheese, 1 cup milk, 1 stick of butter). I omit the sugar & sharp cheddar. I only bake for 15-20 minutes to melt the cheeses. I usually bake 1 pan (13x9) and refrigerate the other pan to bake for the next day. Warms up sooo well in the microwave the next day too!! Yummy, gooey & cheesy perfection!

I make a béchamel sauce which is about half a stick of butter, about 4 tablespoons of flour, about 2 cups of milk and about 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg. I sometimes add some of the shredded cheese and stirring frequently until thick and creamy. Pour that over the macaroni and cheese plus salt and pepper. May take time to know the correct amount but with trial and error, you will not be disappointed. You can google or TH-cam recipes for the sauce. Love you and your recipes. Learn so much from you. Excuse me for saying so, but you put your foot in that macaroni and cheese, and that is the ultimate compliment where I come from. You might want to think about opening a restaurant just based on that dish alone!!! A raging success!!
Hello Chris my name is Helena and I am always getting good recipes from you and I really appreciate you. I have a suggestion for you when you make your sweet potato pie I learned this point years ago and it works perfect instead of boiling your potatoes try baking them you don't lose your color and when you mixes them up they are less stringy. So just try it I put a little vegetable oil on Them and baked them on 350 degrees until they are done takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending how big they are. Thanks keep putting out good recipes.😊

I did this mac and cheese today and it was the bomb! Even my husband who I call "the master chef".. Looks sooooo Amazing! Ms. Chris try using the Velveeta in block form and cut chunks and sporadically insert throughout your macaroni once it's in your pan. It's still fine if you don't use the Velveeta cheese. I don't use that cheese and it still comes out really good.

Chris's macaroni and cheese reminded me off the cereal "RICE CRISPIES"... When she went to serve it up you could hear it snapping, crackling and popping. Yummy... I wish I was her neighbor ! 🍽🍴

Looks sooooo Amazing! Ms. Chris try using the Velveeta in block form and cut chunks and sporadically insert throughout your macaroni once it's in your pan. When you take it out you'll have these surprise creamy pockets of cheese. My grandchildren absolutely love getting those. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU! ❤️❤️
