Basically the state-owned broadcaster in Nigeria aren't feeling the need to compete with commercial TV stations and improve their graphic design to keep up with the times.

You got the wrong NTA Makurdi ident here. The one you used here is the one that was used by NTA's Network Service. They can be seen sometimes on local stations when they're relaying the network service, which they did everyday for several hours.

I think part of this is government corruption. NTA is state-owned, but there are more fulfilling things for the government to spend money on, e.g. pocketing the people's money.

All modern NTA 10 Lagos idents shown here actually came from 2013. It's made by Onezone Media, the same company that made idents for NTA2 Lagos earlier in 2012.
