I'm so glad the oWoD is coming back. NWoD was good but it seemed to miss the social roles that this has.
Even we gangrel must come to terms with our humanity. although i do strongly defend to the concept of "animals are BETTER than humans," i have come to find that protecting my small town ,from what ever dark forces attempts to harm it, as a most powerful "touch stone".

Squid Bat The main difference I’ve found with my gaming group is VtM seems more about actually role playing. Quite a few in my group just like playing DnD just for the combat. As I said, I’ve never played VtM. I’ve always heard that the dice system is it’s “weak” spot. Getting the new book hopefully next week. May have to just find a discord group :/

How do trust another person's rolls through the internet? Honor system? Ha! Highly doubt it. When nerds hold power it is usually corrupted so easily.
Odd Apprentice this is true. Even with dice plugins and programs like tabletop simulator. There are ways of getting desired results. When I had my back injury I played DnD with my group via ventrilo. When it came too dice rolls I let the DM roll the dice.

Arguably the most important video in the series. Love the living; remember, you're still a human and you'll still have basic human instinct and cognitive functions. I can understand why so many look upon mortality with disdain... it's a condition which has been substituted by another with apparent advantages and a sense of kinship perhaps missing among such a diverse herd of beings. I, conversely, found myself treating them with far greater compassion and respect, and they invariably reciprocate it. I used to be a sort of "peevish librarian" if you will towards my fellow man, rejecting his presence as an affront to my peace; now I want to cherish them and do what is best for them. Honestly, this is has proven to be the best part of becoming this sort of predator. They're livestock to be sure, but that's only credit to their value in my eyes.

Sabbat is going to get nasty. Even though the new morality system is quite good and interesting, I still think the Roads from the Dark Ages were very nice and diverse, and I miss them. The road of sin, road of the kings, road of heaven, road of the beast... too cool to trash it

But this isn't the Dark Ages anymore. It's like survival mode for certain clans. Way more political if I remember from the conventions of V5. Church powers are backed by a different military and the governments associated with them.

Is the Clan of the Gentleman known? He seems to speak of Dominate discipline but when talking about Ventrues and Tremere it seems like he does not treat himself as one of their kind. My guess would be Lasombra with the Chicago By Night lore updates (assuming there are some).
Someone told me about a week ago on here that he is a Harbinger of Skulls, as evidenced by a pin that he wears on his suit jacket, as well as just how pale he is (with darkened eye sockets, etc.). Harbingers of Skulls are Cappadocians. If you played the video game, VtM Redemption, the Cappadocians are the clan that lived in the monastery, and Serena was one. Giovanni was a bloodline off of clan Cappadocian (I seem to recall that was the case), and the Giovanni bloodline wiped out basically all of the Cappadocians and became a clan of their own. I don't recall how, but given how most of the lore works, they probably diablerized a Cappadocian antediluvian or some such.

I'm pretty sure my Tremere, Toreador, or Brujah from Bloodlines would probably have been happier dealing with GG than that arrogant prick LaCroix.

I like characters enttitled to be "more human". I made a concept vampire who was a vampire hunter who tricked a lowbie vamp to turn them into a kindred (then left their sire to meet the sunrise) so they can infiltrate in the "demons den" so they can meet and stake the "vampires head" to bring them along to the sun rise to end the evil, but suddenly found the vampires society is far toó complex than was expected.
They are interested on the Sabbat preaching of open jyhad but despises their lack of humanity, considers the camarilla dangerous but acknowledges their labor to keep their own numbers to avoid vampires go uncontrolled, anarchs are the most humane for both good and bad things, considers most of the vampires innocent victims that should meet the sunrise anyway, the head vampires are guilty and the should meet Jesus and then the sunrise... Very "stacky" caracter, but not dumb. Mandatory humanity above 7 always
Better played ir added true faith + only drinks animal blood + bonus:frenzy roll upon see anyone feed on human blood even if a blood bag.
Innocent humans getting killed is another roll but evil humans like assasins, rappists, depraved people deserve good old bonfire roast and the player is free to acknowledge some humans as worse the vamps... 👌
And watch as his humanity and views slowly change during play, untill the end and the hunter has become the same monster he has been after, despite a achieving his goals.

I want to explore ways to be a merciless creature with a "humanity 10" score to prove how twisted and dark is WoD universe. Because stacking and leaving for a sunrise a fleshling embraced a few hours who was still scared, trembling, lost, licking the fangs trying to figure out what they had become and why the body hurted so much is just an act of humanity and divine mercy from our lord and saviour. May I follow as soon i can the purified souls to obtain God's salvation alongside this so called "antediluvians", amen.
Oh, wow, even better, i think i am going to make it a malkavian who actually was a prostitute/ drug dealer/clown for hire on kids parties or so in life but believes in all that bullshit from being a vampire hunter before embrace.

In 1996 when I was 9 I went to a book store, there I saw in the rpg section a book that stood out from other genres because of its marble green cover, that marked me, 2 years later I bought that same book started a group in my apartment complex, that was good days.... I havent played a game in over 10 years +.... whitewolf or whoever is running needs to realize a better marketing strategy and get new players involved... seriously if it wasnt for me googleing vampire the masquerade for some nostalgia I would never knew theres a nee book coming out.... and worse the book wont be available in stores not reaching new public.

He admits to being harbinger of skulls on his channel on his video concerning him. It may have just been the only way to justify him knowing anything about them, but he has certainly been playing it up as cannon.

But if you watch the V5 presentation, the rules are quite flexible. I haven't played V5 myself but I have seen others on the "roll4it" play it. Maybe it can give you a better idea how the rules are applied and how it effects game play.

I've read the presentation of V5, and I've entertained myself with some of it's dynamics, Humanity and Hunger been the ones were V5 puts a more strong hold, when V20 is pretty more liberal. Touchstone are one of the enforcments that didn't exist until now

I do not mean to speak out of place. You probably think my efforts to aid any sect would amount to trash. But know that even in my ignorance, from an unfortunate random occurrence not of my choice or fault, this does not keep me from trying to find my place in this unlife as you older generation would say,
"As it t'were in the Dark Ages, we ruled the night."
I am doing as much research as I can as a neonate.
And unlike Toreador who merely imitate kine to feel a quickening in themselves that has long been dead, I have not forgotten what it means to be of the kine. Which means the kow in me has trouble with the beast. And if the masquerade means anything to you, which it might not, a touchstone would help me greatly.
Again, I am not your childe so pleading my case for the acceptance of these touchstones would be futile. And I find myself again on the Nomad's path that I've read about in endless texts of lore. Alone in both the world of day and this new world of darkness. An outcast of the outcasts.

I don't know anything about this 2nd Inq. but from what I've read to pick up where my sire slacks, I hope it, The 2nd Inq. be in the favor of the abandoned ones left to to sun ...and Caine cleans up his mess.
