@@panraphael435 please choose the title for the award he deserves, either way, he deserves an award for his talent. In this case, id' say the intention is what counts. No need to be so hard on Fabio ._. lol Now, let's get back to the reason why we are all here, to clarify a concept from the help of a magnificent lecturer! Happy studying! :)
I am writing a paper on MSUD for my physiology class. I had a lot of trouble finding a succinct explanation for BCAA metabolism in the written form. This video saved my ass. Bless this lecture.
A video for basic lab calculations such as dilution or concentration calculation, or stock solution preparation would be great! Videos are very helpful!
Excellent video. Only problem is you forgot to add the extra carbon (CO2 group) in step 4 of the reaction. Resulting in not adding it to the rest. Acetoacetate is missing a carbon.
Hey man you are missing carbons, you never carbpxylated the b-methyl-crotonyl , you drew b methyl-gluctaconyl with 5 carbons it should have 6 after a carboxylation The mistake rolled over to subsequent steps (hmg-coa should have 6 carbons & acetoacetate should have 4 carbons) btw ILU you're the absolute man
This is great! I have a question though, Does having Branched Chain a-Ketoacid Dehydrogenase also affect the metabolisms of Isoleucine and Valine? I thought they use the same enzyme. As such I would expect additional symptoms from Maple Syrup Disease as they interrupt the production of Methylmalonyl CoA, Succinyl CoA and subsequently ATP generation via TCA cycle and Heme synthesis (loss of Succinyl CoA substrate) that that pathway produces.
As a retired engineer having worked for a Naval Surface Warfare Center and graduated from the University of South Florida, I have been fortunate to have excellent teachers. One of my favorite teachers - a graduate of MIT - subtracted 18 points for a misplaced negative sign. His explanation for docking me 18 points for such a small error was that I "wouldn't be making that mistake again. I understand and agreed. I became much neater and careful on math problems that were several pages long. He was a teacher I will never forget in spite of the fact that he taught thermodynamics(thermodamnamics). Ak is his equal and much appreciated in spite of the fact that I feel like I'm learning Greek except when he teaches physics courses like electromagnetics. AK is an amazing asset, especially for medical students.
Hey AK. Do you have a specific way learning all these different courses? Going from biochemistry to physics to organic chem to general chem to thermodynamics?
I thought the branched chain amino acids were not metabolized in the liver. I learned in my biochem class that they are only metabolized in the muscle, adipose, kidney and brain tissue.
Hello aklectures! Your video lectures have lots of views, but I think it's limited...by your channel name. If anyone ever noticed, he's channel name is mathdude2012. Would help if it's actually aklectures haha (lol but maybe you can't change the channel name? I couldn't find the edit button with my lazy attempt at playing around with my own channel name, so I'm not sure)
Why do not you screenshot the lecture slides and sell on the Internet as a book? It would be very useful for the AKlearners :) Your lecture notes are written in your website, I know. But they are not as useful as your blackboard notes because they do not have shapes, figures etc. :(
Hi! Just want to thank you for all the work you put down in your videos and how much it helps every one who's watching them. Thank you!
give this man a Nobel prize

people like you are what makes this world beautiful
I m from Pakistan...u speaking slowly so we could easily understand...good work...
#andrey kopot one of the best teacher we have... thank you for teaching us..can you plsss give a lecture on purine nd pyrimidine biosynthesis ...
Excellent video. Only problem is you forgot to add the extra carbon (CO2 group) in step 4 of the reaction. Resulting in not adding it to the rest. Acetoacetate is missing a carbon.
agree
I just put the like before I watch the video,,,Thank you very much for your brilliant and very knowledgeable lectures,,love you so much 💖

interesting channel. I found out many helpful videos, but i have a few questions.

THANKS FOR YOUR EFFORTS ..
But I think the acetoacetate was not properly drawn 🤔, Right ?
yea confused me little bit too
You are a life saver! Thankyou! thankyou so much!! :)
Hey AK. Do you have a specific way learning all these different courses? Going from biochemistry to physics to organic chem to general chem to thermodynamics?
sir you are always helpful can you please make a lecture on (amino acids, protein, muscle protein and carbohydrate) thank you :)

thank you for all videos , and please make videos about fungi.
Hi Ak,
Please can you do the synthesis and the mechanism action of acetaminophen/paracetamol
in full details please.Thank you
Can you please add a lecture about folate and vitamin b12?
u r great teacher thank u from my heart i will donate to your wb site when i get mony promis u
thanks i am biology student final year
you are the best!
sir plz make the lectures on bioprocess engineering it could be helps us to crack the exams
please make some videos about lipid metabolism :(
I have a final next week perfect timing و المصحف 😂😂
Eman Faris Hope you didn't bomb your final...
Eman Faris My final is after tomorrow in biochemistry... this guy is brilliant explainar BY THE BOOK😃😃
how the substitution of a single amino acid in a cell receptor might have a significant effect on the receptor's structure and function?
please make an video on hemicellulose
hey can u plz made a video on hansanalysis or QSAR
