    You're absolutely Awesome Autumn!!! 👏🏼👏🏼 I'm a 63-year-old diabetic female, who has been intermittent fasting for about 65 days and have lost 47 lbs!!! 😄 I haven't purchased your excellent program, but I am one of your subscribers and have binged daily on your videos here on TH-cam & IG...Thank you so much for sharing so much EXCELLENT information. It has really transformed my understanding of how food works in my body, especially being diabetic. All the best to you, your handsome hubby, and your beautiful baby girl AKA his Twin👶🏻💕

    That same brand of organic pumpkin is SO delicious! i usually use Libby's...was so surprised at the difference. i ove pumpkin spice so I often mix about 1/4 cup plain yogurt, 1/2 cup pumpkin, 2 T flax, and some vanilla and pumpkin spice. It's a nice dessert or great addition to breakfast.

    This recipe is a life saver! As much as I love oatmeal, I had to stop eating it. My go to break-fast was 3 boiled egg whites and oatmeal for 4 months straight! I was destroying my weight loss goals. 😢 I saw results but I knew I was doing something wrong, I wasn't loosing fat the way I was when previously cutting. I have been eating keto oatmeal everyday for a week now! 😊 Yaaay I dont have to completely change my go to break-fast!! Just a little modification. This recipe has changed the game! Thanks Autumn!

    So this is my version of this recipe cause here in Switzerland I do not have pumpkin purée neither pumpkin spices...so I skipped these ingredients and it is still delicious! I love it. I add half of banana and some blueberries to top and it is simply delicious, much better than traditional oatmeal. Just an additional comment for those who struggles with constipation...it is a great breakfast option. I highly recommend. Thanks again, Autumn for the amazing cooking ideas, another staple in my diet. Loved it.😊❤️

    I use one cup almond slices and one cup unsweetened coconut flakes, pulse in food processor until oatmeal like consistency. You can sub other nuts too. It's a great base for cereals and could replace a few ingredients that people don't eat in her recipe. I'm going to make her recipe minus bananas and fruit, looks great! That's two meals for me.

    Loved this !!!!! I'm sensitive to almonds so I replaced the almond powder with coconut flour. In addition, I don't eat hemp seeds, so I replaced that with golden toasted flax seeds. Couldn't find pumpkin spice anywhere, so I made my own following the recipe of pioneer woman. Also, I put 3/4 Cup of full fat Greek yogurt, I found it a bit sour if I put 1 cup. Delicious!!!!!!! I can't wait for tomorrow's breakfast!

    • @AutumnBates
      @AutumnBates  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      yes, that's a really good question! Definitely doing a video on this in the future! It can come down to how carbohydrate sensitive someone is. The more carb sensitive, the lower carb someone will have to take in to help burn fat as fuel (such as with Keto). I dive into this topic quite a bit with this livestream: th-cam.com/video/wyDsEG6Sm6Y/w-d-xo.html

    • @luckyhanger1326
      @luckyhanger1326 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AutumnBates Wow.....eating fat makes you carb sensitive...AKA insulin resistant. Eat a low carb diet with high fat and proteins makes you insulin resistant. Dr. Gregor said it and I proved it to myself with my dexcom. I've lost almost 100 lbs eating a low fat high carb meal (no processed refined carbs or oils). I think you got the whole spiking insulin thing wrong unless you eat a low carb keto style diet. You should investigate other diet options, a keto diet is very unhealthy for ~25% of the population who have Familia Hypercholesterolemia. There are other options for losing weight and controlling diabetes....please check them out! Good luck. :)

    • @raybod1775
      @raybod1775 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@luckyhanger1326 Avoiding refined carbs we all agree on. I also noticed that liquid oils get burned preferentially over body fat. Unprocessed oils in source like seeds and olives seem really good. My body seems to process fats in avocados too quickly. I’m trying to follow Autumn’s advice more closely after being stuck after losing an average 75 pounds.

    Maybe check into the estrogenic effects of flax seeds, it's shown to specifically effect breast tissue in a measurable way.
    I make oatmeal from sprouted rolled (less refined that instant) oats, whole raw milk, very small amount of raisins and honey and oodles of cinnamon. Couple hard boiled eggs alongside and BAM! Hunger killing breakfast.

      I had this morning. I did not have almond milk except for the chocolate because my wife loves the chocolate so instead of that, I used my lactate free regular milk. I used cinnamon instead of the pumpkin pie spice. I didn't have any flax seed but I had milk thistle seed and so I decided to try it with just the other ingredients. The milk absorbed the chia seeds and I ended up using almost a cup so I only ate half of what I made. The base you started me with should get me rolling and so I like to experiment with different ingredients. I also have coconut flour which I thought would be a good substitute for almond flour. I didn't use any "butter" or any fruit. I didn't think it tasted bad and will be experiencing different flavors and see how I can get my wife to eat a little bit with me. She hated my cream of rice, cream of wheat, or even oatmeal. She eats oatmeal cookies though.. but I am so glad I found you. I used to really enjoy my oatmeal as a kid and cream of wheat and the like. I won't experience new things that can help my thyroid because my TSH levels last taken was 12.0 which has been my highest ever. I had a previous high of 7 but that's about 3 years ago. Hopefully these items can help lower it.

    Sharing this recipe for sure!!! Autumn is there a reason you only put 1T of hemp and flax seeds only and instead 2 T chia seeds? I usually do equal amounts of those seeds and keep in fridge. Have 2T everyday. Am I doing it wrong? ❤️❤️❤️ thanks 😊

    There is no specific food on earth that “burns fat”. What burns fat is expending more energy than you take in. ie: being in a caloric deficit.

    Do you have to grind the flaxseeds first? I thought our bodies couldn’t digest the whole flaxseed

      No
      When they are cooked they are more digestible.

    Thank you for the video/recipe.
    So this sounds like "Hemp&flax meal" to me, not oatmeal, since we don't eat oats.

    Looks good. I have made a noatmeal with coconut flour, flax and an egg. It is soo good. I add a little milk and a few raisins...but I'm not keto just can't eat oatmeal or gluten. I will have to try this. Not sure if I will be able to handle all the seeds but will have to try.

    Hey Autom, I use oatmeal and add all the ingredients you use? I I also add blueberries and strawberries with yogurt, hemp, flax chia seeds, and seeds and nuts with almond milk. What are your thoughts??

    Yummy recipe, thank you!! 😊. I’m 57 and I lost 30 pounds eating oatmeal at least four times a week and added nuts and flax seed for healthy fat. I disagree that you can’t have carbs at all. There needs to be calorie counting, lower carbs, healthy fats but not necessarily complete removal to lose weight. But still love you!!

      I am so glad you posted this. I’m 45 and I have been eating oatmeal for breakfast 4-5 days per week since my early twenties. I lost a ton of weight as well. It blows my mind every time I see these negative posts about oatmeal. I disagree as well. Oatmeal is amazing for health and weight loss .

      @@lineehall267 yes I love it. I lowered my carbs and the ones I did eat are healthy but I’m not giving up my oatmeal and I feel great. 😊

    Would you please expand on how it’s void of protein? Thank you kindly! I read that one cup has 6grams of protein, and am feeling a bit confused

    Autumn, thanks for all your advice and recipes 💕 I am already in the office when I break my fast and I don’t have access to a stovetop. Can this be made in a microwave or can it be made in advance and re heated in a microwave? I live in Scotland and sometimes (most times!!) it’s just too cold for a smoothie 🤣
