When my family and I went to taste their biriyani (duh), it took them an eternity to serve it.. Also, it was pretty lukewarm and didn't cater to my tastebuds like the biriyani from other Aminia's do... Their Chicken Hariyali Kebab was top notch tho!
I have tried Aminia New Market Biriyani many times and yes the complain I had everytime was it is too oily and the mutton is not that soft. The Firni is very good and would always suggest.
Mutton birtani :- Little dry, quantity felt little bit less , high priced Mutton kasha:- Nice taste, less quantity (curry+ 2 pieces mutton) ,over priced Tandoori roti:- Good , price is just ok. Butter nan:- good a bit sweet. I asked for little bit curry to eat with tandoori roti but they refused to give. Conclusion :- Bit overpriced , Quantity is less as compared to price.
Seriously New Market's Aminia was the best out there 7-10 years ago when I last visited it...Their Ambience,Food Quality and Taste at that time was unquestionable...But,now WTF has happened to it...I have been hearing so many bad reviews about it.
Hi, I also want to share my feedback on the same. Last Saturday, I went to Aminia, Esplanade, and had the worst biriyani. It is totally opposite for me, the biriyani was so dry that we can't finish it, and we had to take chicken chap with it. Mutton pieces in the biriyani was too dry for me also.
I ate in 2019 but my experience was horrible. 190 rs e eto olpo quantity chilo j kichu bolar noi. R sobtheke boro kotha we got cold drinks jeta theke gondho berochhilo. Worst experience ever. The worst biriyani out late of worst biriyani restaurant chain

Perhaps moved to a glib modesty by Mr. Bakshi's august presence, every single waiter working in New Market Aminia is extremely rude and nonchalant. The biryani, bad as it is, leaves a bitter aftertaste even in your mind.
I had my first taste of biriyani in Aminia new market way back in 1992. Back then it was a great experience for me. I never tasted anything more delicious before

Anything you eat with rice it’s has to be spicy & hot in Bangladesh. But Polao (bashmati/chinigura rice) & fried rice er sathe abar besi jhal ekhane prefer kore na. I am from Bangladesh . When I went to koltaka , I visited this place because i heard a lot about it. Trust me the food was not worth of money at all. Price was super high, mutton was hard and full of bone, excessive oil. I wasted my money there

Next time if in kolkata pls do try Arsalan biriyani..in its either Park Street or Park circus joint...Aminia is just an over hyped place..though we 80 s kids had our first ever taste of Biriyani's from there only..and I as a child I remember how I detested it way back then for the stiff and dry palate served by them.

Ajke byapar ta onek tai overstated in terms of food quality, quantity and ambience, I agree. But legacy r chote ora full speed e business kore beracche which reinstates your last comment (they don't bother whatsoever). But thanks. SOmehow, ajke over five years Delhi te achi, Kolkata biryani (as in the ones available in proper Kolkata city), I find a deficit, ekta emptiness. Your review is absolutely genuine. বিরিয়ানি একদম ই ভালো লাগলো না। রাইস গুলো ভাঙ্গা ভাঙ্গা মতো। আর আলু টা জাস্ট টেস্টলেস (ইভেন নুন ও নেই) আর বিরিয়ানি এর মটন টাও খুব বাজে ছিবড়ে মতো। বরং মটন চাপ টা বেশ ভালো লাগলো। তবে এর থেকে "দাদা-বৌদি" অনেক অনেক oneeeeeedeseeseeeeeeeek গুন ভালো❤️।

Aminia has lost it glory. I used to drop in whenever I visited Kolkata. But last month I was disappointed with their quality and really they are still thinking that they are monopoly. If they won't revive their quality and behaviour, they will be dumped soon.
The so called famous kolkata biryani is gradually dying, Siraz, Nizam, Aminia and Some Arsalan, India restaurant, Royal India restaurant all becomes below average in quality and quantity of biryani...And also price, 300 almost for a plate....Not worthy, In Most of the places muttons is totally Money waste. Don't know what happens to them, To increase business they compromise their quality, and Kolkata biryani is dying

I am from Bangladesh . When I went to koltaka , I visited this place because i heard a lot about it. Trust me the food was not worth of money at all. Price was super high, mutton was hard and full of bone, excessive oil. I wasted my money there

Next time if in kolkata pls do try Arsalan biriyani..in its either Park Street or Park circus joint...Aminia is just an over hyped place..though we 80 s kids had our first ever taste of Biriyani's from there only..and I as a child I remember how I detested it way back then for the stiff and dry palate served by them.

Ajke byapar ta onek tai overstated in terms of food quality, quantity and ambience, I agree. But legacy r chote ora full speed e business kore beracche which reinstates your last comment (they don't bother whatsoever). But thanks. SOmehow, ajke over five years Delhi te achi, Kolkata biryani (as in the ones available in proper Kolkata city), I find a deficit, ekta emptiness. বিরিয়ানি একদম ই ভালো লাগলো না। রাইস গুলো ভাঙ্গা ভাঙ্গা মতো। আর আলু টা জাস্ট টেস্টলেস (ইভেন নুন ও নেই) আর বিরিয়ানি এর মটন টাও খুব বাজে ছিবড়ে মতো। বরং মটন চাপ টা বেশ ভালো লাগলো। তবে এর থেকে "দাদা-বৌদি" অনেক অনেক oneeeeeedeseeseeeeeeeek গুন ভালো❤️।

Aminia has lost it glory. I used to drop in whenever I visited Kolkata. But last month I was disappointed with their quality and really they are still thinking that they are monopoly.
