I absolutely love this Bible, it's my go-to study Bible. For the longest time I was afraid to even use it because it is such a work of art but I'm glad I do, I still don't highlight or write in it though. The only thing that would make this Bible better is if it was red-letter, but that's just my personal preference. This Bible should be the standard for all of their heirlooms but unfortunately they have decided to go the cheaper route and now make them in China. I honestly wouldn't mind paying more money to have them bound by Jongbloed again, I think the majority of premium Bible lovers would agree with me on that. Also, Crossway if you're reading this, I would love to see a personal size heirloom study Bible someday, I would buy one in a heartbeat.

I was told the liner was calf split. Like a French Morocco maybe? Love this edition 😀
They didn't say what is was, they just said it wasn't calfskin. It could be calfsplit.
Christian book has this on sale for 174$ for a few days. I just ordered one
Rob Cimarolli I bought it when it dropped to $187 on Black Friday...went even lower. Incredible Bible...at $174 or $187. Heck, I wanted it at $375 and $224. It’s the last Bible I’ll ever buy. It has all I need besides my ESV Journaling Bible.

Why is the beige ribbon wider than the other two brown ribbons? Some reason?

Beautiful bible like this is amazing but not line matched, inconceivable. My $15 NJKV hardback compact is line matched perfectly.
I like Esv study bible in large print.
Do you recommend this Bible for someone who really wants to study and learn the Bible, or does it have too much Calvinist bias?
I think though it's reformed leaning it gives a lot of room for the reader to make a choise of positions they'd like to take. It's probably the best study Bible out there for any Christian from any denomination.
This will be great if you’re new to reformed or are not reformed. It’s more conservative but does have reformed teachings. Many scholars of many denominations contributed to this bible

Yes. It's now out of print. I'm not sure if or when they'll bring it back.
How much do you think this Bible is worth today august 2024?
It's about the same as the Wellington leather, so I'd think the price would be the same- around $300 new.
