17:00 Arnold Lines W(ashington)V(irginia)M(aryland) token. Glad you found a coupla relics. Enjoy the sweet corn! (Once we were camping along the Savage River, and this couple drove up and sold us sweet corn outta their car. I don't know how efficient a sales technique that is, but the corn was delicious.)
good stuff, thanks for getting another one out to watch. they calm and inspire all at once. i check after work each day to see if anything new is up so always good news to see you've been out being you, good luck!
Fisherman cut weights to lighten then according to current. Sinkers are not always meant to make the line stay on the bottom - sometimes it is desired to have the line ride higher than the bottom, but up a way from the bottom.
I've molded my own sinkers before. what you might be coming across is someone molding their own sinkers but that one didn't completely fill the mold but they used it anyways.
I enjoy these especially now since I'm in socal and can't really go hunting for anything around me out here. From Florida and in the whole corner of the US I'd find all kinds of neat stuff.
The lock company was founded in 1888 by Samuel Slaymaker. Mr. Slaymaker got his interest in locks from working for the Pennsylvania Railroad as a civil engineer. Yeah they are still in business.
The Pewter top is definitely off of a salt or pepper shaker. A glass one, they were mde clear, green and pink. Some are depression era and some are 19th Century. Nice to have you back . My wife and I went to Shepherdstown on Saturday, thought you had probably been all over that place. Are you still editing Alska? I have not seen the old Gold Dredge.yeas ago they operated those in Florida below Fort Meyers, they mined Phosphates. That area is now Lehigh Acres. hnaks for all the wonderful adventures you had in Arizona. I got real turned on to he Cliff Dwellings. And old towns all over the SW Deserts.
I Like the video! I like this video because of facts, exploring, and jut the reason that it leaves me wondering what treasures hide in the water and under the ground
WVM token may be Washington-Virginia-Maryland Coach Service , Chig. And was thinking some of that lead bar may be casting stock redirected to fishing purposes.
I dont know if you or Lindsey enjoy the fruit of the grape, but I keep a cork on my finds bag,and when I find a fishing hook Ill bury it in the cork, and dispose of it when I get back home. Of course that means I need another cork,so its wine with dinner night.
sometimes when people make sinkers the mold wont be warm enough so the lead will cool before it gets to bottom of the mold . That causes the sinker to not fully form . when i make them i figure no need to remelt it . it will still work lol
"A familiar sight to commuters for nearly a half century in both downtown Washington and the environs of Northern Virginia were the buses WV&M lovingly and more familiarly known as 'The Arnold Lines' for company founder Leon Arnold. In April of 1964, ownership of WV&M was transferred to D.C. Transit and, while the former maintained its own flag for legal purposes, all of its usable equipment was repainted to the latter's trade mark colors and design scheme. WV&M will be best remembered for its big 44 passenger White Model 798's which counted at over 100 from the forties and ran for well over two decades with some even being re-engined to Leyland Diesels."
Wish people would think before throwing glass into rivers and lakes. Little children swimming might get hurt bad. Love the vids keep'em coming. Nothing as good as sweet corn says this Illinois born girl :)
Beau, if I ever find out where your going to be ahead of time, I'm bringing a pocket full of change and sinkers & have me some fun!! Just kidding! Maybe........ lol
Glad to see you back on the river! Good thing I wasn't holding my breath while you went galavanting across country. I did enjoy your trip tho. I live in Red Bluff Ca., It would have been interesting to see the lava flows, caves and the scenery. I'm unable to traverse the terrain so won't ever get to see it first hand. Well A. C. here's to a great new season on the river! 🇺🇸🎆 ✝@~{~~ ✝

Nice Job Beau. I had to laugh. I was going to ask what you wear for foot gear, then you show your boot at the end. Tell us what you think about the Max plz. We are all anxious for some legit feed back about it.
Ok Off topic I bought myself the White Bullseye Pinpointer through your site, LOVE it. But, you knew there would be a but. :) I have a problem in salt water with it, it looses its mind. Do you have any suggestions or can you tell me which one I should be using in salt water. Thank you for the help.
