Love ya work mate I really do. Love Zmans to. But seeing flathead get hung up and thrash around with stainless steel lip grips makes me cringe. Iv seen lips get broken or torn handling flathead this way. Iv even done it myself when I was learning. Iv learnt now how to hold them now makes live easier. Specially when using gloves.

Yeah, no respect for the fish. The net holds them and pliers to de-hook is all that is required.

Go the GrubZ! I love my MinnowZ, but there is no doubt that the GrubZ are a very effective lure too. Not much out there won't eat a curl tail with an action as good as that!

I was a grub guy, now I'm kinda liking slim swimz because the tail doesn't get jagged up

Question.....how long do you stay on a particular colour, if you're not getting anything before trying another?

I would change spots or retrieved before changing colours

When you said flat heads, I was looking for the American flat head catfish. I don't recognize those fish.

Yep, sorry mate, these are an Australian table fish caught all around the entire nation. They can grow to about 1m but about 40cm is usual (although there is a qld fella who caught a 3m flatly but he got lost in the mangroves with some fella called Merv).
So any Australian or New Zealand show mentioning flathead this is the fish. Taste good.

Hello Justin. Can you tell me why you didn't take that flathead?? Is is because it was too big. From what I understand; the larger flatties cannot be taken for eating, or was there just some other reason???. PS, I wrote to you for some advice about a week ago when you were fishing for flatties with your dad but no response thus far
