PLEASE teach your computer or whomever is reading story to properly pronounce English ! The WORD " PATENT " should be correctly pronounced "PAT" as in the first part of the name (PAT-rick) and the other half "ENT" as in (ENT-er) or paah-tent!
Pay-tent is the correct English pronunciation. Americans prefer to pronounce it Pat-ent. Maybe people learning English in other countries would have another different pronunciation?? Ultimately, what's the big deal? As long as we understand each other, that's fine.
