You two are the brightest couple on TH-cam. It is great watching you overcome obstacles. If Rebekah enjoys your pole saw, you might want to get her a 12volt Milwaukee 6" chainsaw. My wife of an age just less of 70 has one and loves it. She calls it her baby chainsaw. She prunes hedges, small trees, and I borrow it for trimming walking sticks that I make in my retirement years. Evan, you really need to approach TYM about a subcompact tractor. It would be really handy doing the barn cleanup. My 25 HP New Holland is 48" wide so it can get in some pretty tight places We never wore masks, but we probably should have. It just wasn't done. Looks like it's time to do some crow hunting.
As a kid back in the 50s and 60s we would go to my aunt and uncles farm, my aunt would make noodles, I just loved them, so much better than store bought.
I am disabled and walk daily. For something to do and to get cans off sides of roads. But I had to take a couple days off. The wind just pushed me back.

Job well done. Evan - consider building a small trailer that will fit through the barn door. Think large, 2 tires, wheelbarrow style that you can also pull with a 4 wheeler.
My wife and I love you guys so much. We too just did goat hooves. It is a pain in the butt chore. We laughed out loud though at Cherie’s face when you panned the camera down to his face only and he was on his back. 🤣🤣🤣 I am still waiting for snow to melt before I can clean out the barn. We use a manure trolly that my wife’s great grandfather installed in the barn. I have rebuild many parts to it, but it still works great. Keep these videos coming please. God bless you all.

Chewie’s horns are really getting long, I remember you trimming one of the goats horns I think it was growing the wrong way. Rebecca has always jumped right in there and done whatever the animals needed there on the farm. She is the number one farmer’s wife. I have been with them ever since the day the papers were signed for their farm. They are special to me, I ask God to watch over them.

Yesterday, at the market I saw extra large eggs was $7.49 per dozen and chickens were $1.99 a pound. With that in mind it might be wise to hire a armed guard to protect your golden featherbearers.
Here in Oregon the deer are a huge nuisance to any kind of new tree. We put 3 5 foot t-posts around the tree and 4-6 foot chain link fencing around those posts to protect the new tree.
You could wash the goats with dog dip flea soap sprayer set up out un the good clear grass after you trim their hooves. tied up until dry and you clean and sterile the barn and stalls. Luke wanted to talk to you.
Watching the goats eat the tree reminds me of goats eating the Christmas trees I picked up for them last month. They had 20 trees and I'm down to the last three.

I don't know if you have ever watched Sleeper Dude or not. If you haven't it would be something you would enjoy. They have a goat that thinks he is a dog or another kind of house pet. They raised him from birth bottle feeding him and he loves them dearly. They also have a pig that loves to drink RC colas.
Rebekah best you wear a mask anytime to clean the barn. I ended up in the ER for 4 hours as I could not breathe. I inhaled the dust from the chicken waste. When I went to the Dr. he said that dust, sawdust etc. ends up in the bottom of my lungs and will be there without any problems until years later when they may start to give me a problem. Best you ask the Dr. where you work if that would be the case in today's medical findings!

When Chile was on his back and is warns holding this had steady, he reminds me a as what kids do with their bicycles, they put 'them upside down and have the handlebars on the ground as something that kids do. And then I start thinking have no grip spawn the handlebars and the tassels that some kids used to put on their bikes and you to put those on chilies horns or maybe tennis balls.
Seeing chewy gave me a painful flashback from last week. I'm under my ole truck changing the transmission fluid and installing a shift kit when a goat that looked just like chewy crunched down on my big toe ooowww. Don't know who's goat it was or where it came from but man that hurt and still does. But we're frinds now.🙂

We have goats and trimming their hooves was a fiasco. My wife bought a large sling used for dogs and I put up a pully and we just lift them up off the ground. I thought it would be a flailing rodeo, but they just hang there as calm as anything while she trims them. Even our feisty buck.
Have yall ever put a head of cabbage in some netting material and suspended it near your chickens? I've seen on another farm channel the chickens eat the head of cabbage like they are starving
You need to add a lot more green stuff to your compost piles. It will compost down a lot faster if you do. Its best to mix 50:50 green and brown waste.
@@johnr3603 that doesn't add green material to it. It will be better yes. But if you have the right ratio of green, brown, air and heat, you can compost in 30 days
With the current cost of eggs and you having a surplus, it's about time to think about a freeze dryer! The large size from Harvest Right will do 10 dozen per batch in about 23 hours or so. Take care and God Bless.

I was talking to a farmer today in Northwest Alabama that grows hay...he told me he sells a square bale for $700.00 per bale....I was shocked at that price but he told me that includes his labor and fuel costs...unbelievable for a city boy I am thinking about growing hay...
@@mawmaw9156 I was talking to a cattle farmer here yesterday. We just moved to Northern Alabama from Phoenix and I am not a farmer I grew up in a big city so I don't know. We were talking outside of A Tractor Supply, never been to one of those either, but we started taking abut some feed he had in his truck. Since I have been watching Country View Acers I have taken an interest in farming. So he had this cow feed in his truck and we got to talking about farming he told me he was a cattle farmer but because hay was so expensive he leases 500 acres and grows hay. He told me it is cheaper for him to grow his own hay, sell some and still make a profit. Then I asked how much a bale of hay was and then he told me he sells it for $600 a bale and that floored me...that is what he told me.
Those egg noodles at the end were pretty cool. Great video like always see you next time

The eggshells r good to give to ur laying hens. It helps them with new egg shells. Also u can use oyster shells broken up into small pieces.

Put some rocks or concrete blocks in the area to let the goats climb and scramble on, help keep their hooves worn naturally. They just love climbing

You might want to purchase a grain scoop for use in scooping up loose manure and hay in the barn like this. makes quick work of it all.
How about an extendable golf ball retriever for the duck eggs in the water... at least they should still be good chilled by the water.

All the pruning tools are used by me except the gas chainsaws. They are too finicky to start sometimes.

That sounds very high. Small square bales here are around $5.
