Well, NATO is a war crime organization. It doesn’t care about freedom or democracy. It only serves it's corporate overlords in the MIC. Along with CIA, it has been the crown jewel of US neocolonialism over the past 60-70 years, toppling democratically elected governments, ruining countries in the process and leaving them far worse off. All NATO does is in service of monetary profit. The countries that join NATO do so because they think they are protected from bad things. Many of the NATO states dislike each other and have bloody history between them. I know because I come from one such country. NATO was created to fight and beat the USSR after the 2nd world war. They were never a "defensive" organization. They're not stopping now, Russia and Belarus are alone now and this is the best time for NATO to strike. Right after they drained their resources via a proxy war of attrition in Ukraine. I expected to see this rhetoric fairly soon into the Ukraine war, and I wasn't wrong. We are now seeing leaders calling to end Putin as the only resolution. Once they get rid of Putin their true objective will be put to action. Breaking apart Russia, dividing it into easy to manage states under the corporate enslavement of the US hegemony, US dollar and the American banks. That is how the colonize the world. The only problem with that is that I truly believe Putin when he says "A world without Russia is not worth existing". The nuclear arsenal will be dumped on this world and we will go to the stone age. Unless yhe US has some never before seen ultra high technology that can prevent that from happening.
There is more freedom in Russia than in many countries in the west . What happens is that people like you is fed with propaganda by your media control by your government, Brainwashing.
Russia sought out and murdered survivors of the Holocaust. A few survived and have been moved out of Ukraine. JFC it's long overdue that the world wake tf up and save Ukraine. Let Ukraine Strike Back. They have an incredible military force. They amazingly brave people.
Why should we fear Russia for a second century, WHY? because of some weak compromised people in the west in positions of power. Give let Ukraine end this war, give them the means, freedom to act as they think fit. You people know full well what I talking about with out saying directly. Britain removed RT very early on.
They help Ukraine to win a war but they tied its one hand behind his back. What kind of thinking Ukraine partners have? Do they have used their common sense?
They've prolonged a war Ukraine can't win. The amount of land Ukraine has regained is nothing compared to the amount of land Russia has taken. It's as if Ukraine came along and put a bucket filled with sand on a football field held by Russia. Ukraine hasn't been winning anything.

To be more clear, Russia is already in a war with NATO and has been for decades, but they want to keep the intensity at the current level (mostly hybrid warfare) because this is the only level at which Russia is competitive with the NATO / the western powers. a lot of the missteps I see the US and NATO making in this current conflict with Russia is applying this boomer framework present during the Cold War to the current situation despite the fact the paradigm has changed. The actual tactics of GRU and Russian Black Ops has changed and updated with technology, a nuclear option is tactically and logistically completely off the table, etc. Yet we keep worrying about escalation management as if Putin will actually push the big red button, we keep expecting highly-trained Soviet sleeper agents committing surgical ops, we get barely trained, disaffected kids throwing m*lotovs, scrawling antisemitic slogans on walls, and paying sympathetic political influencers to sow disinfo. Putin is NOT a premier. He's a gangster. Russia is NOT the Soviet Union. Putin's ENTIRE mandate comes from the Russian economy and that is barely limping. He is only getting away with this because he views our democracies as weak and ineffectual and we have largely SHOWN him that that is so. He is only getting away with this because the Russian people are not presented with viable opposition or alternative. GIVE THEM ONE. We NEED to update our framework as the paradigm has changed. We NEED to redress people's economic grievances so that they're not prone to being turned against their own countries. We NEED to start taking these threats to our institutions seriously and have the courage to change said institutions if they are no longer viable or not serving their original purpose. On the question of Mr Cleaver what prevents Russia to escalate attacks to the rest of Europe openly, Mr Schmitt had a weak answer. All of what Russia is doing with its hybrid war effort against NATO is to keep NATO out of the conflict, directly and for supporting Ukraine. Russia does not stand a chance in a direct conflict, they know that, they know NATO doesn't intent to strike Russia either which can be seen how Russia does not actually prepares any defence towards NATO borders. Yes, that is why I'm sharing this on FB.
Or US imperial overreach.

Excellent look at reality.
Russian talking heads yapping about being in the war with NATO doesn’t mean they actually want to participate in one… For them this is more of an excuse to their own population for loosing (not winning) the war against Ukraine. (Like look we are fighting the most powerful military alliance in the world, not just some corrupt former USSR state) So I really doubt they will willingly escalate the war to the point of direct confrontation with NATO countries, not unless they would see some easy picks (meaning you better be strong and resilient over there and help us, while we are fighting these cavemen)
To be more clear, Russia is already in a war with NATO and has been for decades, but they want to keep the intensity at the current level (mostly hybrid warfare) because this is the only level at which Russia is competitive with the NATO / the western powers. They obviously can't escalate to a large scale shooting war.

a lot of the missteps I see the US and NATO making in this current conflict with Russia is applying this boomer framework present during the Cold War to the current situation despite the fact the paradigm has changed.
We NEED to give Ukraine what it needs to end this war on it's terms and make overtures to the Russian people and ruling elite so we can have a sustainable solution that takes into account the needs of all parties involved with dignity for both the Ukrainian and Russian people.

Weapons of mass destruction, does that ring a bell ? Don't be a hypocrite.
This imaginary looming threat that Russia would willingly escalate the war is a smoke screen, psychological warfare, to intimidate NATO countries citizens and government officials. And as we can see it is working.
History repeats itself.putin is following a well known playbook, and the rest of us aren't reading the book.putin wants all of eastern Europe, maybe more?destruction of America from internally is ongoing right now with trump/maga movement.
Yep. He did answer it more clearly later saying that Ukraine has gone through all the other set redlines already without any repercussions. Russia has nothing to gain from giving NATO any reason to get more directly involved.
@@FuzzyDunl0p42 Yes, but it is not the same though to argue if Ukraine ignores red lines. It is another weak argument, because it does make a difference if other powers interfere.
The clear argument is simple, the leaders in Russia know they don't want NATO to be involved directly. And that is a thing we should be confident about our self and use it to our advantage.
Russia talks all the time how NATO is the enemy, and on the hybrid war it is reality. And we should make it crystal clear, that they better not have us knocking at their doors.
