The game is unplayable because there's an UNGODLY long, unnecessary pause after the dice are rolled😢
Also, there are plenty of times when there should be sound by isn't. Like when you get resources or when the robber walks.
Also, you have to cycle through each option individually to see if you have enough resources. Why aren't they just highlighted if you have enough?
As a longtime Catan player, I picked this up on a preorder and have been playing pre-launch. The game is very pretty, but there are some bugs that make it less appealing to seasoned players. In variable setup, the game places the ports incorrectly, and sometimes shows ports with three connections to the island. It also shows changing icons for 2:1 ports so you do not know what good is accepted until you build there. Finally, multiplayer games take much too long, a turn timer is an absolute requirement. MP games take over an hour. Also, there is no voice or text chat which makes the game seem even longer. I would not reccomend fans of catan purchase this game until these issues are patched.

Also, it doesn't tell you when it's your turn. You have to constantly check or you'll find yourself frequently wondering why nothing's going on
Red Banana! looks cool and I've heard of the board game settlers of Catan.
Red Banana, the Mrs and I are enjoying the game. Last update sorted out a few concerns I had. Just struggling for her and I to both play online off 1 device as Co-op. Would be an awesome feature to see soon. Apart from that I love the approach.
Anyone know how to unlock the other character portraits?? And what's the star under our name and portrait
Edit: I wish I could see the challenges....I unlocked harbor Master but I have no idea how I did
Needs a timer, needs a ding when it's your turns, and needs the bug with 300 ports fixed.

I think I played this on xbox 360 a long time ago. I remember it being fun!

The 360 version was far better. Most of the problems that I have with the new version can be fixed with patches so I'm still hopeful.

This is only fun with close friends in a private lobby not randoms unfortunately and turn all the music and sound effects off and play your own music and it became a fun night lol
I've never owned a copy of Catan; I've always played my friends' games. Red banana. I'm happy to be abe to get a convenient copy of my own.

Clueless can u please go on a sherlock holmes mission and find out where royal court is for ck3 .. they say first quarter of 2023 but not even 1 info so far

3:00 the art work is pretty good, i strongly disagree, it looks way too confusing, e.g. red has a settlement on 9-11-8 but is so hard to see, is also hard to differentiate cities and settlements, the roads can be hard to see as well , the robber dont even cover the number so ppl can just forget where the robber is
So with the colours, you can actually change those for all players 🖖
You can rotate the map and zoom in so not really something “hard to see”
I couldn't agree with you more. Sometimes colorful pretty graphics are a detriment especially to a game like this.
So lame that the version on the xbox 360 arcade from 10+ years ago had better features. I kinda regret my purchase for the cost

The xbox 360 version is 100 times better. This game is slow and multiplayer is almost unplayable
So is it the same map every time? or is it possible to change it and make it random?

If I was playing on my own it would go dry, every game lasts around 30-90 depending on your rolls. But I've been playing couch 2-3 player with ai for the 4th and found it a lot of fun. For £20 I'll get my moneys 💰 worth for sure 🖖

Win trading is a huge down side to playing online. And it’s clear when it’s happing, which happens a lot.

Unfortunately, if someone is losing, disconnects and tries to reconnect, or wants to take forever.. they CAN. There is no timer!!! There is no "vote to kick!" There is no way to prevent someone who wants to ruin the game, from ruining the game. I've tried playing 20+ games and I think 1 or 2 made it until the end.. and I don't quit... it's b/c people go AFK, disconnect, etc and the game is so buggy that most of the time you end up in a stalled/frozen game where someone isn't taking an action and everyone else is left with the decision to either quit or wait and hope the troll leaves.
Needs desperately a turn timer or a buzzer to wake up the people not paying attention.
Is it everytime the same board ?
If you don't change it yes. But there are a few different ones to pick from 🖖

This game has too many bugs. The ports are all messed up, multiplayer has issues, game play can be too slow at times. Had higher expectations pretty disappointed.

I have played the game 20 times and each time with frustration. The bugs I can live with but the dice roll way too much in favor of the bots. Unplayable this way!
Tbh, if they merged this with the one on Steam, they would still have 3/4 of a Game because of all the bugs both versions have.
I would love to play on PC with these graphs, but not buying until bugs are fixed. 😂
Red banana… catan is a better tabletop game than video game because of the optionality of maps you can create with just the base and a expansion game. Just my opinion

No bugs? The dice faces are hidden by scenery constantly, the AI is a huge cheating scumbag, totally rigged rolls beyond being random and its robber movement sucks, consigned to the bin already
This game tries to balance the poor ai programming by using weighted dice rolls for the ai. This only leads to complete frustration when you get a 2 or more point lead vs all ai. Lazy programming. The 360 version ai was lightyears ahead of this game. In fact the 360 ver was better in nearly every way.
This version is just bad. The game slows down and lags. Music is terrible. No ranking system like the 360 version years ago. Game crashed several times and players quit in middle of the game. It needs a major upgrade. I can go all day.
I honestly enjoyed it for what it is. Never played the original or board game. But thank you for sharing your thoughts 🖖

Just have to give an update opinion on this game. The update makes the multiplayer a zillion times better. Still wish there was a timer, rank standing and stats providing history of what numbers roll but hey its a start. Great job.
This game needs updates badly. Tons of bugs. People can reject someone taking over AI and rage quit and the game is frozen. AI gets stuck during trades in online games. Add time limits to stop people from grieving when they are losing and just sit there until people quit. And update to different maps or hell just a basic map board. No graphics. They are horrible. New houses roads and cities graphics? Dice options. Fix the game first. People paid for this crap
